Ditto the recent reviews. The breakfasts were wonderful - infused with creativity and healthy ingredients! It was great having a choice of two entrees as we were traveling with our daughters. Enjoying br'fast on the wrap around porch was very pleasant on warmer mornings. An espresso machine and tea is available throughout the day as is a water cooler to... More

We just had our second visit to the Kingsleigh Inn and are making plans for the third. We have visited Mount Desert and Acadia several times and only once did not stay on the "Quiet Side" of Mt. Desert. Pam and Brian made us feel very welcome even before our first visit when we telephoned them to make the reservations.... More

Great b and b. Comfy. Great breakfast. The owners make you feel so welcome too. Much more relaxed than manic Bar Harbor. We loved having our own balcony to enjoy the evenings. Plenty of relaxing common areas.

My husband and I had our first vacation on MDI and we are so glad we picked the Kingsleigh Inn. The Inn is clean, maintained and attractive. The food is better than we have ever had at a bed and breakfast and certainly raises the bar for others. Presentation is amazing and it tastes as good as it looks. The... More

We would like to thank this guest for taking the time to share their experience and photos! Also, we would like very much to follow-up regarding the bed review. We replaced all our mattresses prior to the 2011 season with Simmons Plushtop Beautyrest Firm mattresses and since they have been in service for just 2 six month seasons, we are... More

My husband Bruce and I love getting away to Mt,Desert Island. We enjoy staying @ the Kingsleigh Inn on the QUIET side of the island. The hospitality of the owners is outstanding! Pamela and Bryan know how to do it with such style. The location is ideal and a great view of the harbor. We enjoyed the private deck off... More

What a joy - we started our Maine Coastal vacation at the Kingsleigh Inn and felt like we had arrived at home. A great property, amazing hosts, incredible food and bissful peace. From here you can explore Bar Harbor, Northeast Harbor, Southwest Harbor and more. Wind down each night with a glass of port and celebrate breakfast with a tasty... More

We stayed in the Turret Suite on the top floor for three nights. It is a really beautiful room, with a small outdoor deck and a small indoor reading room, both with nice harbor views. The owners were pleasant. Breakfasts were fine, but a bit boring after 3 days. I'd like to see more savory choices than just variations on... More

From Jersey Village, Texas to Southwest Harbor, Maine our visit to the Kingsleigh Inn was a climatic and culinary trip to an enchanted New England paradise. Our stay at the Kingsleigh Inn was like a visit to a rich relative's weekend retreat and Brian & Pamela's hospitality was like a visit to a relative's home who could not do enough... More

If you're considering visiting Bar Harbor, think again. It can be chock full of tourists and touristy gimmicks --- unfortunately, cruise ships arrive there in high season. Southwest Harbor, on the other hand, is the laid back New England experience. Pamela and Brian, the inn keepers, do everything to make vacation enjoyable. When you arrrive, there are wine & snacks...
