This place is so great. It literally is across the street from the ocean. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The area is tranquil and beautiful. I didn't think such unspoiled natural areas existed any more. Acadia is a breath-taking place, and the Seawall Motel is a wonderful base from which to experience it. When the owners say, on... more

My husband and I spent our 10th anniversary in Maine at the Seawall Motel. The Seawall is a small (20 room) motel in the great location of Southwest Harbor. SW Harbor is quaint and more relaxed than Bar Harbor, and is great if what you are going to Maine for is to relax and unwind. Dave and Vickie are great... more

This was our first visit to Southwest Harbor and we found Trip Advisor very helpful. There were a few good reviews on Seawall Motel and we decided to try it out. I called and talked to Dave the owner and booked a room but had to call him a few times to receive a confirmatory email. When we reached there... more

This was my second trip to the Seawall Motel and it was better than I remembered it. Dave and Vicky are great and make every effort to make your stay enjoyable. You can walk out of your room to look across at incredible views or take a walk down the Seawall. It is a great place to escape from it... more

We have been vacationing in Maine for over 20 years and have stayed all along the coast from Wells to Machais and have found no nicer place to stay than the Seawall Motel. The owners Dave and Vickie are without a doubt the kindest people that make you feel like you are really on vacation. The quiet laid back atmosphere... more

There are many things to like about Seawall Motel, but I had a fairly bad experience and I wasn't sure what rating to give it here. The owners of the hotel are VERY nice and hands-on in all aspects of the operation of the hotel. They have definitely done a good job taking an older generic motel and turning it... more

I am sitting in room 19 as I type this review...The rooms are very clean, comfortable and have a great view of the Atlantic Ocean. We are here with three of our children for a week and are having a great time. The owners Dave and Vickie are great people and treat everyone like family. We will be back! more

Prior to our trip we spent months trying to figure out where to stay in Maine. Two weeks before our vacation a friend told us about Seawall Motel and that she was out there last year and knew we would like it. A nice clean place, away from the crowds. Not fancy and high priced. The owners were very nice... more

We planned to stay two nights at the Seawall Motel, but enjoyed it so much that we extended our visit. The motel sits right across the road from the ocean and there is a beaver pond on site. This is the "quiet side" of the island, but the restaurants and activities are only a short drive away. We prefered being... more
