This is a wonderful place - a paradise tucked away. I would highly recommend this property for anyone visiting the Acadia National Park area. The rooms are very nice and spacious. I stayed in a room located on the end with a wonderful ocean view. I called the day-of for accommodations and arrived very late. I was greeted with a... More

I stayed for 2 nights last week and would highly recommend this motel. The room was spotless, bed comfortable, and the owners were SO nice. It would have been helpful to have a microwave/fridge as at this time of year, finding an open restaurant was near to impossible. For an off season stay, I would return there no questions asked.

If you are not looking for a fancy Bar Harbor accommodation (which I'm sure are all excellent), but a nice, affordable, truly friendly motel this is definitely it. Located on the south shore, 5 minutes drive from two hiking trails, Wonderland and ship harbor Trail, 10 minutes drive from supermarket, coffee shops and restaurants. 30-40 minutes drive from Bar Harbor... Across the street from the ocean on the quiet side of Acadia National Park. Rooms are big, clean, and quiet. Staff is very friendly and great with directions and ideas of places to go. Breakfast is simple but adequate.

This family-owned, non-chain motel on the quiet side of Mount Desert Island is a real gem. Quite simply put, it's not your typical motel -- and you'll be glad you stayed. The amenities aren't fancy, but everything you need is at your fingertips. The beds are comfortable and the showers have good pressure and hot water. Both the room and... More

The Seawall Motel is in Southwest Harbor on a quiet road away from the congestion that sometimes happens in Bar Harbor. The rooms on the second floor have a view of the water. The rooms on the first floor have a view of the parking lot and easy access to your car. The rooms are clean and functional. The free... More

My wife and I stayed here for three nights, and really enjoyed the stay. Bottom line, when we go back to Acadia, we intend to stay here again. The hotel is clean, and the rooms are large. The accommodations are basic, but totally sufficient--and frankly, given that you're probably there for the park, not something that we even thought of... More

Plain and simple they do all the "little things" (& big things honestly) perfectly. The room is large, spotlessly clean and in a beautiful remote end of the island not too close or too far from the very touristy areas. Stunning view in the morning to wake up to, terrific continental breakfast each morning with healthier food options, very accommodating... More

We recently stayed @ Seawall and it exceeded our expectations! The oceanside location couldn't be beat (stayed on second floor for best views). The highlights for us (besides the location) included "Speed Bump" the cat and the very friendly & personable staff -a special shout out to Aaron @ the front desk!!! The room was clean, breakfast spread was more... More

This is a great place to stay in Acadia and it is a wonderful motel. Our room was large and very comfortable; two beds; very clean, well maintained; lots of big fluffy towels; very quiet, no road noise; the people in reception are friendly, very informative and fun to be around; the breakfasts are great; excellent value for money and...
