Nice water views of the sound. Quite and relaxing. Large bedroom, but small bathroom. Very clean and tidy. Very friendly staff, with good knowledge of the area. Plenty of parking. Nice continental breakfast. Would go back

This Inn is perfectly located on Somes Sound in Southwest Harbor, Maine....considered the "quiet side" of Bar Harbor. It is the most perfect setting if you're looking for peace and quiet! We got married here and the people that worked at the Inn, and acted as our witnesses (Danielle and Emily...and Emily's beautiful children), couldn't have been more helpful and... More

We stayed at the Mansell Cottage Suites (2 adults and a child). It was a basic but very clean room with a well-stocked kitchenette. The only thing that was a negative is that all our towels smelled kind of musty, like they have been folded damp. The room was on the small side for 3 people, but very reasonably priced... More

This was a pleasant surprise! We traveled with our pet and found everything very nice. The gal that helped with out reservation was great! Our unit was in a bldg that has 3 units total - a little outdated but comfortable just the same. I love the quiet side of the island and the view cannot be beat. To be... More

My husband and I and our two adult daughters and dog took the penthouse suite, our son and daughter-in-law were in the Starboard suite one flight below. We didn't stay in the Inn so I can't comment on the rooms there, but our suite was perfect for our needs. We had a balcony with a view of the harbor, a... More

Great location, not great delivery, especially for the prices. The rough bed sheets alone were enough to keep me awake all night, not even a distant cousin of something welcoming and comfortable, they may have been rescued from an old summer camp. Ran out of orange juice at breakfast. Noisy too; not the quiet seaside retreat one might expect. The... More

We were so pleased to find our room overlooked the Somes Sound. Our room was so comfortable and filled with solid handsome antiques and accessories! We slept so well! A delightful thunderstorm began around 6 am and we were so comfortable that we just slept it out. The Moorings is located in a perfect spot, with gorgeous views and a... More

It was a good place to sleep the beds are so comfortable. But the railing is very dangerous if someone where to lean on it they could fall over and be seriously injured or dead. The breakfast was not good the bathrooms are small. If you stink up the bathroom the smell will stay their for a while. People are... More

Dear guest, Thank you for visiting the historic Moorings Inn. We did have a service dog staying with a guest for an extended period and I suspect it was "Emmy" you met in our lobby, we were all very fond of her. The varying bathroom sizes are certainly part of the charm of staying in an historic Inn and we... More

Thank you so much for visiting the Moorings Inn! We are glad you enjoyed our location as much as we do and hope our light continental morning offerings provided you with at least a little fuel to start your day overlooking Somes Sound. More

It was a decent place of you needed a place to stay that was cheap. The complimentary breakfast was awful. The bathrooms are small. There is window air conditioning. A lot of antique furniture and accessories in the room. A full kitchen.
