We visited the Lindenwood in August 2014 for 4 nights. We were greeted and checked in quickly, and shown around the property. Our room was in the house next door on the second floor with a balcony and view down to the harbour. The inn was very nicely appointed with a great breakfast and handy extras like a kitchen (with... My partner and I stayed at the Lindenwood Inn over the MDI marathon weekend. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the staff and taken to our room. To our surprise, we were given a room upgrade which had a great view of Southwest Harbor. The inn was impeccably clean, had great hospitality, and served a delicious breakfast. The location... More

We spent three nights at Lindenwood and were as happy as could be. We had one of the larger rooms and were very comfortable, enjoyed the excellent breakfasts, and liked being in Southwest Harbor (except for the road construction a mile or so from the Inn, which should be over very soon). We had, um, challenging neighbors for two nights,... More

By staying in Southwest Harbor at the Lindenwood Inn we were able to miss the "tourism" of Bar Harbor in Acadia. This quaint B & B sets off the beaten path but easy walking distance a local pier which houses one of the best Lobster Pounds in Maine, Beal's Lobster Pound. It is also within walking distance of the hub... More

My husband and I stayed here during our honeymoon. Originally we planned to stay here a couple days but we ended up staying for a week! This place was absolutely wonderful. The owners are so sweet...on our last day they left us a card with a bottle of champagne...they also upgraded us to room 14 knowing that we were spending... More

We just returned from our first trip to Maine and stayed 6 nights at the Lindenwood Inn and had a fantastic time staying on the quiet side but still close enough to explore Acadia NP. It was a great choice. The Inn is a beautiful Southwest Harbor home with wonderful common areas and our room, #5, was lovely...nicely decorated and... More

We recently stayed at the Inn for a week in September. We enjoyed everything about this B&B. Our suite was clean and comfortable. We had a small outside sitting area facing the harbor, and the pool and hot tub were part of our view. Each morning we were treated to a bountiful breakfast. Fresh fruit, warm baked goods, teas and... More

My wife and I stayed two night at the Lindenwood Inn, and we enjoyed our stay. We are hotel people, and have rarely stayed at a B & B because of some negative experiences. Lindenwood has changed our perspective, and we will change our traveling patterns. The owners and staff were wonderful. Friendly, attentive, but not "in the way". Our... More

Friends of ours recently stayed at the Lindenwood and came back from their trip and suggested it for our next mini-getaway. One week later we were looking for a just that type of getaway and we called and were thrilled that there was a room available for our stay. We booked it and headed up to MDI. The inn is... More
