This was our first time to visit Migis Lodge, and I heard about it through a National Geographic Traveler article about best traditional summer lodges. We visited with my parents, my sister and her spouse, my husband, and our three kids (ages 7, 5, and 2). We have diverse interests, and this is the first time that one vacation spot... More

First read about Migis Lodge in a travel magazine years ago. Since then our family has gone every year, staying in the same cabin and loving everything about it. Safe, comfortable, scenic, fun activities for all ages or just sitting on the porch reading a book and feeding the chipmunks. Watching our grandsons grow from toddlers to teens and still... More

Migis Lodge cannot be beat for beauty of its location, warmth and friendliness of the staff, and comfort in the cabins and main lodge. This is a special place to unplug, take a swim, learn to kayak, canoe, paddle-board or water-ski, share time with family and friends, and simply enjoy this charming pine grove on a magnificent Maine lake.

Guests at Migis feel right at home. Staff is friendly and efficient. Gorgeous views from cabin and comfy porch with rocking chair overlooking Sebago Lake. Boats of all kinds at your disposal. Lots of good food including local blueberries (can even pick your own) and Maine lobsters, clams and corn. Relaxed and casual ambiance where you can really disconnect.

This is my second review of Migis Lodge - the first written years ago - and it's still one of my favorite places anywhere in the world. Our first trip to Migis was for our honeymoon (36 years ago), and my most recent was closing weekend last year (complete with the traditional fireworks in front of the lodge over the... More

The food and atmosphere are amazing. However it is not cheap to stay here. Our cabin was clean and the fireplace was stocked with wood for a fire. The food was great but it killed my diet...I absolutely loved the place.

The winding forest road that leads off the busy highway is like Alice's rabbit hole, a portal, that takes you from the hectic pace of your life and drops you in a beautiful and effortlessly authentic lakeside camp straight out of the 50's. You are offered a glimpse of life at the Migis when you call for a reservation (there... More

We visited Migis for a wedding later in September so I cannot speak to what the place is like in July. There was almost no one on the lake while we there which I'm sure is different than the case in the summer. Very attentive staff, simple but wonderful food, and a drop dead gorgeous location. Sauna was right outside... More

Our family of four recently stayed at Migis Lodge for two nights. “Migis” is an Abenaki Indian word meaning “place to steal away to rest” and Migis Lodge is just that. We stayed in Firefly Cottage: Knotty pine interior, comfortable and attractive furnishings perfectly appropriate to the setting, fireplace (fire set up and ready to light, extra wood handy), and...
