The Bait's Motel is just the kind of Mom and Pop place we look for. We'd been driving back from Jackman, looking at houses we were interested in, and considered ourselves fortunate to find the place. It's quaint looking on the outside, and the rooms have obviously been updated. The towels were so thick and plush, my husband is still... More

It's a quirky little motel, a family-owned strip right on the side of busy and potentially loud Route 1. On the plus side I thought it was a great value for the price in a region which can get very expensive in the high tourist season. The inside of the room was much better than I expected from looking at... More

Don't let the cover fool you, this is a wonderful spot for an overnight stop. Small rooms with beautiful beds, and high end towels and bedding. Rooms were reminiscent of the 70's, but with a grammie's attic feel. No morning amenities other than the in- room coffee pot, but this is the place to stop late and leave early, lots... More

We spent 2 nites here over Columbus day weekend. We are travelling the country with 2 dogs. Everything nicer in the area that allowed dogs was either booked or way too expensive considering we only need a place to sleep. We got a suite because there wasn't a regular pet room available for both nites. The living room was small... More

Do not judge this motel by it's cover. My room was very clean. The bed and the linens were very comfortable. The towels were great also! I have stay here several times and I was not disappointed. Give it a try.

This was a very cute and inexpensive stop on our way up to Bar Harbor. There is no lobby, you check in at the host stand of the attached restaurant. The room was clean but it did smell a little of mildew. After we ran the A/C the smell disipated and it was very comfortable from there. We got "upgraded"... More

We stayed in a double room next to to a busy rd.The room was immaculate, the linen high end and the bed very comfortable. Water pressure was great and as hot as you could want. What a welcomed retreat after some hard days of traveling! No WiFi but a great price and everything we truly needed!

The Room was very clean, the bed was comfy, and there is a coffee pot in the room, that's all we needed. It was pricy but we were tired and had no other choice. All in all it was worth the trip down memory lane to a time long ago.

We wanted to experience some local color on our Maine vacation and the name made me giggle so I took a chance based on the positive reviews here. I'm SO glad I did! The room (including the bathroom) was immaculate. The hardwood floors and nice furniture were a unexpected plus in an economy motel but we were really surprised to... More

I wanted to stay here mainly for the great play on words and ended up having a beautiful room to stay in! Very clean and simple nice decor. The only drawback I could see is that you have to be there by 8 p.m. to check-in. I had a relaxing night there and would definitely stay there again. There is... More
