We stayed at this B&B twice and loved it both times. The two couples that own it go to great lengths to make you feel at home. It is a beautiful inn, but also feels like home - very welcoming. Another B&B we visited in the area was also beautiful, but felt like a stuffy museum. The service is excellent!... More

We had tried to book the A.V. Nickels which is immediately next door to The Homeport. It was full due to a wedding party and they suggested we try The Homeport. What a great stroke of luck that was! The Homeport was in everyway, just perfect. This is a big, beautiful old sea captain's home which has been expanded and... More

This was our second visit to the Homeport. We actually found the Inn and met the Innkeepers Anita and Todd McLellan last year on Labor Day Weekend. We toured the Inn and had a lovely dinner in the Mermaid Restaurant. This year for Labor Day Weekend we booked for two nights and two other couples met us there and stayed... More

We arrive in ME Saturday afternoon, we were greeted by Todd and Anita Mclellan who are co-owners of the beautiful Bed & Breakfast on Route 1. They showed us to our suite with an attached kitchenette, coffee grinder, fresh coffee beans, nice comfortable bed with an attached shower. The air conditioner was set on low to remove the humidity and... More

This is a lovely old captains mansion. Wonderful fully furnished rooms with excellent view's of the well maintained gardens. The staff goes out of their way to put on a full service breakfast with an extensive menu of choices ( Way better than that continental breakfast crap) I look forward to going back and enjoying the sights in the fall

The very kind owners and staff of the Homeport Inn welcomed us in when we showed up at their door to book a room for the same night. The rooms are large, comfortable, airy and affordably priced. Most have balconies overlooking the property. We didn't eat at the attached restaurant, so can't speak to the quality of the food, but... More

Great place to stay. We arrived late in the evening, and the hosts were very accommodating. We were given the last room of the night, The Crow's Nest, which also happened to be the smallest. Yet, it was more than enough for my fiancee and I.The Mermaid Restaurant downstairs served delicious food, the room and bathroom were clean (with old-charm... More

The Homeport was a great stop on our way back from Bar Harbor. Our room was beautiful with (2) canopy beds, nice large flat screen tv, coffee & refrigerator in our room, Wi-Fi and nice private bath. We had patio doors that gave us a nice view of the gardens which were gorgeous (all over the property). Our deck continued... More

The accommodations were comfortable, but the property was unfortunately in the middle of renovations during our stay. The breakfast alone is worth the visit - best blueberry pancakes I have ever eaten...period! Delicious omelets and great coffee too. The flowers and trees on the property are beautiful - lots of pretty little garden areas that add to the ambiance. The... More
