This hotel exceeded our expectations. It looks very basic on the outside, but the rooms were good size, very clean and had everything we needed. Bath tub drained well (rare thing in hotels!) and there was excellent water pressure in the shower. The hotel was quiet and is conviniently located only minutes away from downtown Portland. Easy accessible to route 1, with nice landscaping, clean rooms and great hospitality. We have stayed at this inn this memorial day weekend and we found out that this is definitely best place to stay. Just stayed Memorial Day Weekend. Our third time here. This little hotel is close to beaches and downtown Portland. On Rt. 1, but set back, so we did not hear any road noise. This place is great. Affordable, clean, big rooms, friendly service (especially from the owner, Jay). Yes, the continental breakfast is "only" warm coffee, danishes (as another reviewer says), but that has been my experience at pretty much every hotel I've ever stayed at. We had no problems at the Best Value Inn, and would definitely stay there again. more
