This beautiful inn has excellent service, very comfortable rooms that have been totally renovated while maintaining their charm, and excellent food!. We had a wonderful experience and would go back without a doubt.

When you pull up to this grand hotel it is quite impressive! The lobby is beautiful and charming and makes you feel as if you are in a time warp, but in a good way. The hotel sits on a pennisula so when you are there it is nice that they have a full service restaurnat. We saw Glenn CLose... More

I'll be returning for my fourth vistit to BPI. Each return is like the first! I'm always welcomed. I feel like a member of the "family". It's an incredible get-away to relaxation, pampering and good food. This is my fourth visit to BPI. It's like my first: I'm welcome, I'm family. It's a relaxing, restoring experience. I

If I imagined a beautiful, old Maine resort on the sea, it would look just like the Black Point Inn. A great place to unwind for a few days. The accommodations were fresh and comfortable. Both restaurants served excellent food. The clam chowder was indescribably delicious and the lobster roll was overflowing with tender chunks of lobster. There were plenty... More

Just returned from our second visit to this inn. Wonderful and relaxing time. Elegant rooms, huge showers, and dramatic bay and ocean scenery. Young staff was not only outstanding at their jobs but friendly and responsive to our few needs. The cliff walks, the beach views, or even just watching the sun rise and set from the porches or sun... More

2nd time a pleasure. We had Mother's Day brunch in 2013. Pretty much a disaster. I wrote to the General Manger and he immediately called and we had a long conversation about the day's events. He sent us a gift card for dinner for four. We returned May 17, 2014 for our own Mother''s Day dinner. This was far more... More

Thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity to reset your expectations for our Inn and restaurants. We decided to have our wedding at the Black Point Inn after looking at multiple venues, and feeling that each one would be a compromise, except for the BPI. The BPI had everything we were looking for; a large stunning function room, a beautiful lawn facing the ocean, great food and staff that made us feel so welcomed! The BPI... More

Were meeting friends in the Portland area and suggested we meet at the Black Point Inn for breakfast. Turned out, it was the Sunday they would be shutting down for the winter. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast looking out over the inside bay on a beautiful late fall afternoon. Very good breakfast selection, we lingered for awhile. Last visit here... More

We stopped here for lunch over the summer and had the good fortune of a warm, sunny day and the possibility to sit outdoors. All of us enjoyed our lunches, however the burger was amazing! It was freshly ground sirloin on an excellent bun, all perfectly cooked. I've only ever had one better (in a Four Seasons in the Middle... More

The Black Point Inn restaurant was a very unpleasant place to have dinner. The Chart Room was so noisy we could not have a conversation with the other couple at our table. My husband had a rubber lobster tail that was difficult to cut and eat. The sauce was inedible. My $34 scallop dinner had three medium size scallops and... More
