I LOVE Residence Inn properties. I have a 2 yr. old son and having space for him to roam is crucial. This was my first time staying at the Residence Inn Portland/Scarborough and I'm sad to say I was a little disappointed with the accomodations. I am used to Marriott properties being top of the line and this property was... more

This is a solid hotel at a great deal. Our suite was a good size with everything working nicely. The staff was friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was solid if not top notch, and the free continental dinner was a nice surprise and well-made and well-staffed. more

The negative reviews must be before renovations have been done. There will be more but then we went with no construction going on. There was nothing shabby about the place We wanted a visit with value. It was terrific. We had a one bedroom suite with all the comforts of home. Kitchen was fully supplied. Separate sitting area and bedroom... more

This hotel is in a quiet part of Scarborough (South Portland) close to all the shopping but far enough away from the hustle of a busy area. The accommodations were what we expected being a Residence Inn. Comfortable and clean with all the items to make it feel like "home"....dishwasher, full fridge with ice maker, large TV etc. The only... more

When we initially checked in, the staff person was only somewhat helpful and clearly didn't want to be bothered with our special request. Later, a different gentleman was working the front desk, and he was very helpful in guiding us and other guests to good local restaurants. The rooms were adequate and clean, however half the hotel has rooms overlooking... more

I can't believe Marriott would be associated with this hotel-it is the pits. Almost every suite has something broken;the microwave, the refrigerator,a bathroom faucet. And the staff in pretty indifferent. They listen to the constant stream of complaints and then snicker when the guests walk away. Pool is icy. The meals they serve-breakfast and weekday dinners are pretty good and the... more

I am a big fan of Marriott hotels but this one is dated. It backs up to the highway and the noise from traffic is loud. Also, our shower would not drain and the caulking was moldy (I reported this to the front desk). Staff was friendly but I wouldn't chose this hotel in the future. more

Typical of most Residence Inns it was a nice set up with a two bedroom suite with a sofa bed. Perfect for a family of five travellng on vacation. However, the quality and condition of the hotel needed to be improved. The hotel was definitely dated and needed to be maintained and updated. I have stayed at many Residence Inns... more

We stayed 2 nights in a queen studio suite w/pullout bed as a central home base for enjoying the southern Maine coast. It was very convenient with the 2 kids, the grocery store is right across the street, and there were restaurants nearby. One rainy night we took the kids to Cabellas, which was right around the corner. The hot... more

Stayed at the Marriott in Scarborough. Very nice, a great value. Breakfast was more than ample. dinner was also served, although we did not partake. Staff very very helpful. Portland is a great city to "hang out" had a great time. Second trip. Played golf, and did the mecca to Freeport. Just a cool trip more
