We just returned from a weekend at The Perennial Inn. We were very happy with our experience at this farmhouse inn. We were looking for a place that was quaint with character, in close proximity to Sunday River, and that was pet friendly. We found all of this at The Perennial Inn. Darlene was very hospitable, breakfast was delicious, and... More

I read the previous reviews, and was looking forward to staying on the farm. Until we pulled up and saw the condition of the place. It needs some serious attention on the outside. Even so, we could see the hot tub and I wanted to enjoy a glass of wine and enjoy a Maine sunset. Until we got close to... More

This is the second time this she has posted this review. The first was removed because it does not meet Trip Advisor guidelines, however, until it is removed again, we'll respond. First, she admits she never stayed. Second, she says she read the reviews, if so, she knows this is a small farm. Many guests are quite happy with the... More

A great B and B. The place is a beautiful elegant old farmhouse and the rooms are slightly rustic. But the experience is fantastic. Warm greeting, snacks and wine on arrival. Coffee and Baileys available anytime. Nice outside hot tub. A very elegant breakfast with individual spiced fritattas and thick slices of smoked ham from their own pig. The owners... More

We arrived at the Perennial Inn on a drizzly, rainy afternoon, but received a warm, friendly greeting from Darlene, with a glass of wine, brownies and a relaxing time sitting on the screened in comfortable front porch. Later, sitting by the fireplace, we met her beautiful pregnant chocolate lab and learned about her love of animals and Labrador breeding. We... More

Our first Bed & Breakfast, & am sure we found the very best first time. We were greeted with fresh baked brownies, wine, beer, & other drinks. very friendly owners & they welcomed our little dog as well. The area is beautiful for walking or simply sitting on their screened in deck. Beds comfortable. Rooms adequate. Breakfast was the very... More

We arrived at The Perennial Inn after a day of sight seeing on the way from Portland and were greeted by Darlene (the innkeeper) who offered us a cold drink and a sit on the porch. This was very welcome and was very relaxing. Unfortunately the toilet in our room was broken so we had to walk down the hall... More

We are sorry to have disappointed you with the appearance of the Inn. The Inn is always a work in progress, as it was built in 1884 and is always in need of TLC, The question always is, what to do first. Unfortuantely, you arrived to a completely full Inn and after being given the option of staying with the... More

We broke up our long cartrip from the Bay of Fundy down to Massachusetts with an overnight stay picked out as the scenic half-way point. We were graciously greeted and given a tour of the rambling late nineteenth century farmhouse by Darlene. My two teenaged children felt comfortable and at home exploring the historic house and active farm - replete... More

My boyfriend and I needed a relaxing stay, and found it at The Perennial Inn. The innkeepers were generous and available for questions. There was a hot tub and a fire pit at the ready. The room we stayed in was comfortable and well appointed. The breakfasts were amazing. Highly recommend this B&B.

After a disappointing stop over in Burlington, we were a little apprehensive as to what the Perennial Inn would have in store for us! We really need not have worried. Set on a quiet back-road this lovely old farmstead was a real haven. Darlene - who always seems to be running errands! greeted us very warmly on her way out... More

Overnight with our two little dogs in a nice first floor bedroom was most pleasant. Darlene gave us a tour of the premises, including billiard table, outdoor hottub, beer in the fridge and cake. The room was cozy, mattress good and hard, the sink in the room was elegant and the bathroom serviceable. The in-room tv was small but sufficient... More
