While this is not a Marriott suite, it's very, very charming and clean. The owner, Alex, went out of his way to make sure we had a great stay, from making sure we had enough wine glasses to sharing his own special deck of cards. There were five of us in a two bedroom suite, with shared bathroom, kitchenette and... More

We stayed here on 28th September, and were given a quieter room at the back of the Motel with a Kingsized bed. The English cup of tea on our arrival was particularly welcome, as was tea for breakfast. Only downside was the large bed took up most of the space in the room, and there was some road noise.

We just loved this place. It was filled with Irish charm, from the owner to the cottage. Impeccably clean and comfy. The room was very quaint and view right around the corner was breathless. If we are ever in the area, we will certainly stop in and say Hi! to Alex and the Missus!!!! Thanks for a wonderful weekend.

This is no Hilton, of course, but for a basic motel, they stand out from the others in the same category. The decor is pretty doiley-tastic, but that's party of the quirky charm. The rooms are old and small (bathroom is very small), but clean and perfectly functional. (We had a king bed in a room on the back side... More

The owner's personality and friendly, helpful attention certainly made the stay memorable! Alex went out of his way to provide us with English tea bags and tea making facilities in our room which was much appreciated. Rooms were clean and comfortable, though some might feel the decor made them feel cluttered (as were the reception and breakfast areas in my... More

We just needed lodging for overnight on our road trip and were looking to save some money. The Claddaugh was reasonably priced. The room was small but well equipped for what we needed. Most importantly, the room was clean and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Glad we choose to stay here.

Wanted to stay in Rockland overnight to hit the Farnsworth Museum in the am. Hadn't made a reservation - just winging it. Saw the vacancy sign and stopped in. Amidst a large amount of Irish memorabilia & sayings sat Alex (the owner & desk clerk). He is quite a character - I'm from Long Island, NY & he told me... More

Clean, comfortable with a wonderful host. Everything you need, just the decoration was not quite to our taste, but hey, so what. Never before eaten breakfast in US with Irish music in the background! Would happily use again.

I have been coming to this motel for 15+ years, both spring and fall, sometimes with family, sometimes alone. It is always clean, quiet, and safe. I love how the individual rooms are all different, and are nothing like the big motel chains rooms - they actually feel homey. The owners are fantastic people who really care about the guests.... I happened on this gem by chance. Alex is a character worth crossing paths with. He even offered to get out his Colts jersey for me! The rooms were reasonably priced and the location was handy. My rooms were like room was like a honeymoon suite! Beautifully decorated and fully functional. It had everything you could want. It is an... More
