We have stopped at this RV Park over the years and were surprised to find that the NASCAR RV Report has dumped this fine property back on the bank. Needless to say when the bank cut the staff of 13 down to three the campground has suffered. the people working there today are great, but 7 days a week is... More

This is a great campground! My friend and I rented a cabin during the Maine Lobster Festival and stayed for 4 nights. Our cabin was clean and we were able to check in early. The cabins also have electricity so you can bring a coffee maker, griddle, etc. The staff here is wonderful -- one staff member even built our... More

This campground is under new ownership so some of the older reviews are misleading. The bathrooms are the cleanest we've ever seen and you would be hard pressed to find a ciggy but on the ground anywhere in the campground. Office staff could be taught in alittle customer service as they rush the sign in process but over all everyone... More

Our friends and us rented Cabins at camp Megunticook and we were all really happy. This place is a little slice of HEAVEN. Just down the hill is a sitting area that overlooks the bay HOW BEAUTIFUL!! I had heard BAD REVIEWS but our friends booked so we went with it. When we saw the cute little cabins we were... More

Site was very small, no privacy, highway noise all night long. Sites are just about on top of each other and you are looking right into the next RV window. WIFI only at the office. Plenty of other places that have wifi at sites and much more privacy

This was our first trip to mid-coast Maine, We are from Ontario, Canada and quite used to camping in provincial park campgrounds. Camping under the trees at Megunticook felt quite similar - except for the sound of the foghorns - which proved to be quite lulling actually. For us Megunticook was a good base from which to start the day... More

this was the worst campground we have ever stayed at. they put us on a site too small for our tent and parking was too small for our pick up. they gouged us for $52 for 1 night and then gouged again for $7 for 6 pieces of wood. a rottweiler was roaming freely, and the noise was everywhere. not... The name reads RV resort, but there are cabins and tent camping here as well. (website reads "Megunticook Recreation Destination"). We tent camped so I do not know the conditions of the cabins. The campground staff is friendly and accomodating. This is a dog-friendly campground. Although I was intially concerned with the proximity to the road, it turned out to... More

Stayed here on the Campground just for one night. No "oceanfront", just in the middle of the woods. We asked for max. 30 amps., no sewer or water needed but we got all that stuff. Since we had to change the place for a better levelled site, we learned that there where still available sites without sewer but no refund... More
