The Samoset Resort is a great oceanfront resort in Rockport, Maine. It's convenient to all the attractions of Penobscot Bay and offers all the amenities of a major resort - restaurants, health club, gift shop, golf, etc. The rooms could use some updating but overall it's a great place to stay if you're visiting this part of Maine. more

We arrived early after staying the night in Boothbay. Our tee time was 1p, because we wanted to have the time to arrive and let the fog dissipate.
