The building is truly made of large granite blocks. One enters into a well decorated living room with soft classical music welcoming you. The rooms are nicely decorated and are immaculate. You will get a good night's rest and will wake to a wonderful breakfast: Eggs Benedict with an avocado and tomato twist or muffins with home made curry jam... More

Good location, comfortable and welcoming with a really lovely breakfast. Our room was a little small but the deep whirlpool bath was very welcome after a week on a small boat. 4 stars reflects the room size. We would happily stay again

This B&B was in a convenient location to take inn all the Rockland, Maine attractions. The Old Granite Inn Keeper was most accomodating and provided a scrumptious breakfast with something for all tastes. Room 5 was very clean, tidy and comfortable. We'll stay there again sometime.

I usually spend just a day in Rockland on business and most often stay in Portland, but on this occasion the business was more social spread over several days, so I decided a local B&B would be perfect. Lucky for me that I found the Old Granite Inn. Great location. Great room. Great food and perfect hosts. Add this to... More

We have stayed twice at the Old Granite Inn and enjoyed both. On our most recent visit, my parents (in their mid-80s's) were with us. We had a larger room than the first time, and my parents had the suite, which worked well for them. Others have described the rooms and so forth, but I especially wanted to comment on... More

Because the smaller rooms we wanted were not available, the innkeeper gave us a large suite at the lower price--very kind indeed. The location was easy to find, right across from the ferry we took the next day. Innkeeper is a fabulous cook, who provided us with a quiche and a frittata for breakfast along with Johnnycakes and sausage. I... More

The Old Granite Inn is a comfortable and very accommodating B&B, excellently situated along Highway 1 in Rockland, the heart of the mid-coast. There is much to see and do in the area, and the Inn is within easy walking distance of Rockland's many shops and the excellent Farnsworth Museum and Wyeth Center. We stayed in room 6, facing the... My sister and I stayed here for 6 nights while attending an art workshop. The owners were very friendly and accommodating when we needed early breakfasts for our classes. The breakfasts were different each morning and were amazing... delicious! Our room and the dining and living rooms were very homey and comfortable. We relaxed and enjoyed coffee and a cookie... We stayed here one night while celebrating our 33rd anniversary. Friendly, helpful owners. We stayed in room 6 - one of the rooms with private bath and a view of the harbor. Very nicely appointed, new fluffy towels, very clean. Our only criticisms was the breakfast (which we had heard good things about). The waffles and frittata were home made... More

We stayed at the Old Granite Inn for one night in room #3. The room was rather small but everything was very clean. We were glad that we brought our sleeping mask, the curtains doesn't keep the room dark enough. Breakfast was plenty and delicious and Ed, the Innkeeper, was friendly and obliging.
