My wife and I were driving around New England the 1st week of November. This was our first time in Maine. We booked thru RCI. It was easy to find. Right on the Bay. Rockland is a nice small town (we even liked it more than Portland). Not a lot of things to do, but I liked the the lighthouse... more

This motel is so low rent, I feel like I've gone back in time -- to high school when seven of us piled into one motel room on the French Club trip to Quebec. I wish I could say this may be the motel for you if you're on a budget -- except that the rate is in excess of... more

We exchanged our timeshare for the Trade Winds for a week in Oct. to see the area and the fall folage. We had a lovely new one bedroom with a full new kitchen and balcony to sit and watch the boats in the harbor and see the sun come up. They have a nice restrauant there and the meals were... more

We chose the Tradewinds for the view, and had to pay $164 for 1 night for that, which was beautiful, but that was it. This was a suite on 5th floor and besides clogged bath, room needing overhaul and not even any guide to hotel in room, worst thing was, looking forward to good night sleep in king size bed,... more

Stayed here over a weekend in May of 2008. The rooms were clean, the service was friendly and the breafkast was very good and filling. It is in a perfect spot in Rockland center, a few steps from some really nice shopping, restaurants and the museum. It is across the street from a nice public park with a gazebo that... more

My husband and I stayed two nights for he Lobster Festival. The location of the hotel is excellent, but that is all. I presumed since we traveled with a tour group, we were assigned to the undesirable rooms, we could not open the curtains because the window looked out on an enclosed walkway., so the room was dark and dingy.... more

What a rat-trap! I prefer to write positive reviews, but I feel compelled to warn anyone reading this avoid this place like the plague. I'm compulsive about researching before I travel, but our plans changed last minute, and we decided to stay in Rockland on a whim. The other option was the good, old standby, Hampton Inn in Thomaston. Boy,... more

Found 2 lights were out in our room and it took the staff until the 3rd day to replace only 1 of them. The ceiling tiles in the bathroom were lifted and bent. At 6:30am on the 3rd morning of our 4 day stay, they had carpenters try to repair the roof above our heads banging with hammers and staple... more

The hotel is past it's prime, but the view of the harbor is beautiful. My room had numerous faults (none of them huge, but they added up to a feeling of being in a run down property)-carpeting coming up, wallpaper peeling, desk drawer broken, etc. It was clean and the bed was comfortable, however. The staff was friendly and helpful.... more

We saw the photos and read reviews.... could not believe the first room they offered. Second one was slightly better but they said no other accomodations were available. Place was small, ugly and few amenities. Saving grace was that it was clean. Would not recommend this at all. more
