Came up to Rockland on the Friday after Thanksgiving to see a concert at the Strand Theater. Was a little hesitant to stay here after reading a number of lukewarm to negative reviews, but I found it to be just fine. Showing its age a bit, and the wifi was a little pokey, but the room was clean, the furnishings... More

We arrived late with no reservations. Felt we had no choice as all other lodging was booked or closed. People smoking in the doorway outside so when you opened the door the smoke went up the elevator and we were placed next to the elevator. Room was non smoking????????????? don't think so. At night the parking areas are very dark.... More

Our first stay at the Trade Winds. We were wary because of some reviews but put trust in the few positives and are so glad we did. A fine place to stay. A little worn in places but get a balcony room and you can't go wrong. If you are not too picky and enjoy friendly staff, clean rooms, convenient... More

My husband and I went to visit family in Maine in late October. We chose to stay at a hotel close to where my family lived and through AAA, I found the Trade Winds. Even though we arrived a couple of hours before check-in time the allowed us to go to our room, in fact they said our room was... More

Disgusting hotel! Pigeon poop covered the deck of our balcony making it unusable. The poop was all around our air conditioner which we needed because the room was so stuffy. Management couldn't have cared less! We spoke with the P.M. manager who asked "You want us to clean it?" The A.M. manager was no better. The tub faucet leaked ALL... More

We have stayed here many times over the past 20 years. We have watched it change hands and go through a lot of renovations. The hotel have a ways to go but the rooms are clean and comfortable. Be aware that although it seems to be in an out of the way area it is the main route for semi... More

If you are looking for a place just to sleep, which we were, it is perfect. The room was very clean and remodeled to be very nice. We had a room with no view but it was quiet and secluded. The staff was very nice and easy to work with. Breakfast was just $4e each although we ate around the... More

We stayed in what must have been an older part of the inn. The room was quite small and we had to call right away for a luggage rack and to have them fix the overhead light. There weren't many outlets available and it was difficult to set up my CPAP machine that I have to wear at night when... More
