If you want quiet and a peaceful view, this is the place. We stayed in the lower room of the lodge that was spacious and had an outside entrance to the property lake. Enjoyed the loons on the lake, and the lawn chairs outside our room. Coffee was served every morning in the main lodge living room with a view... More

My husband and I were on our way up to Moosehead and thought we would spend one night here in Rangeley to break up the drive. We had a wonderful time in the pub and restaurant. The food was very good and the staff was attentive and funny. But then we went to bed around 10pm only to be awaken... More

What a peaceful place to run away to. My husband and I wanted a one day getaway from our busy life and we chose Loon Lodge and the Rangeley lake area for our trip. This is a very clean, pretty place with a wonderful view of the lake. It was so peaceful to take an early morning cup of coffee... More

I’ve owned a house on Rangeley for years and had been coming to Loon Lodge in years past. After one of our favorite chef/host team left we found the faire okay but not great. We have other friends who own homes here as well and they’ve felt the same. Well, last night, because other establishments were booked, we decided to... More

The personnel at the Loon Lodge are wonderfully friendly and unbelievably accommodating. Our room was spacious, clean, nicely furnished, just rustic enough to be interesting, and had a beautiful view of the lake. The public rooms and the fantastic restaurant and tavern are gently rustic, though both tasteful and entirely comfortable with mountain lodge decor. Ironed cloth napkins and tablecloths... More

I really can't say enough good things about the Loon Lodge. My family of 5 stayed here almost every weekend this winter while skiing in Rangeley and everyone at the Loon Lodge made us feel at home - even holding on to lost items and then had then waiting in our room the next weekend! The rooms vary in size... More

Such a cozy spot on the lake. We love Loon Lodge just missed having a great meal as we came for a Monday night stay. In the summer the gardens and hummingbirds are spectacular and the lake is pristine. We were skiing at Saddleback and it is just 7 miles up the hill from the lodge. Hope to see you... More

I took my daughters skiing for their first time and then crashed and ate at Loon Lodge. It was the end of a great day of skiing and a beginning of a second great day of skiing. The folks at the lodge were kind, helpful, and friendly; I had the BEST quesadilla I've eve had in my life, great beer,... More

After a day of skiing, this was a warm, cozy place to come to. A glass of wine by the fire in a log cabin atmosphere - nothing could be nicer. Comfortable and clean room with a fantastic view of the western mountains. Dinner was excellent and the staff attentive and friendly. Felt like coming home.

Dinner is always very good, all the time. I've been coming to Rangeley for about 6 years and this is a must have dinner at place, can handle large groups, not to many places in Rangeley can. I have not stayed in the lodge but have only heard good things. I would say best place in Rangeley to have Dinner.
