Stayed in the large end room upstairs with whirlpool tub. Inn has been totally reconstructed while retaining the ambiance, down to wallpaper, of an old Mainers home. This means that it remains charming but the doors and windows close, the floors are level and sound proofing is reasonable. Breakfast was delicious, hosts were friendly and interesting. Working wharf across the... More

The facility has everything... smoke alarms, sprinkler systems, evacuation alarms. You couldn't be safer. Rooms are comfortable and beautifully decorated; bed put me to sleep. Breakfast is gourmet. This morning we had stuffed french toast, fresh fruit, blueberry muffins, orange juice, coffee and link sausage. Excellent cook on staff. All the guests were friendly and openly shared their area experiences.... More

We were in the area for a family gathering. What a beautiful place the views are wonderful. Sit in the rocking chairs on the front porch and take in the essence of a small Maine harbor. Rooms are clean and cozy. Exactly what you expect in a great B and B

We chose this Inn for proximity to family in the area, but we found it to be a welcoming, comfortable choice. The room was cozy, clean and pretty. The bath was roomy (we were in the handicapped accessible room). The setting was perfect - across from the water, with lovely green space and patio in the rear. The breakfasts were... More

I have been debating writing this but decided I needed to. I recently stayed at Elsa's and was not impressed. One of the windows in the room had a broken latch and could not be secured. A different window had a broken blind that I had to push a chair against to keep down. My trash was never emptied my... More

Had a nice stay at Elsa's after asking some of the locals what they would recommend. Said we would have a delightful breakfast as well as a nice stay there. They were right. We were served a yummy egg dish as well as their "world famous granola with fresh organic yogurt. Topped that off with some wonderful muffins and a... More

Elsa's Inn is directly across the street from Prospect Harbor's fishing vessels & diagonally across the street from a lobster processing plant, so this noise beginning around 6 am for a short time is "local color"; therefore, please don't let this stop you from reserving at Elsa's Inn, which is spotlessly clean, with crisp sheets, loads of towels, and fresh,... Our stay at Elsa's was a highlight of our trip to the Maine coast. The house is charming, comfortable and very welcoming! Megan, the innkeeper, made an incredible breakfast of baked pears, buttermilk waffles and crisp bacon. We so enjoyed sharing stories with the other guests over breakfast, trading notes on what to see and where to go. Megan's hospitality... More

Elsa's should be considered by anyone that wants to stay in the area. I felt at home from the minute I got there until the time I left. This B&B won awards in the past and it was easy to see why. The staff was very warm and they were concerned with their patrons satisfaction. I only wish I could... More

Megan is very knowledgable of the area and accomodationg. Breakfast was great and the blueberry muffins were out of this world. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. Will definetly return and highly recommend. A wonderful place to just kick back and enjoy life especially Maine.
