We spent 3 nights here recently, having booked about 1 week prior to travel. Carpetting around the pool is well-worn & in need of replacement. There was also a wooden beam, part of a pergola, which was rotted. The sheer curtains on the window were water-stained as if there had been a leak, but no one bothered to change them... More

This hotel is old, the hallways reminded me of either a prison or institution. Our key card wouldn't work at the outside door they told us to go to. Then the front desk blamed us for messing it up. There were stairs to the second floor and we had lots of luggage. Finally found the one elevator and the had... More

While this hotel might be dated and need of facelift, it is good place to stay and relax. The outside pool is nicely heated and great to view the stars at night. The restaurant and bar is convieniant and provides basic food and drink. The claim to have award winning chilli but I was not that impressed. Breakfast was good... More

When we checked in the staff were not friendly at all , it was like we were a bother to be served! When we did get into the room it was not very clean. there was black hair in the tub , on the toilet and in the sink. The towels in the bathroom had not been replenished which led... More

While attending a conference in Portland we decided to save a little bit of money and stay here. We arrived late and got a not so enthusiastic response from the staff and then went to the "room" The room was "tired" and needed to be renovated. The wallpaper was peeling and we never did get a coffee maker despite being... More

First I know many people are making complaints however lets make some points here. This isnt a 5 star resort hotel so compare apples to apples not apples to oranges. Free continental breakfast buffet. It was great for what it was. Fresh fruit, yogurt, boiled eggs, pancakes from the standard pancake machine. I have allergies to pineapple and they cut... More

When we first checked in, the staff was extremely ambiguous about the direction of our room (Door 10) and watched as we dragged our 50+ pound suitcase all around the hotel looking for an elevator and/or location of our room which coincidentally was directly diagonal from the lobby. SO, after shlepping our bags approximately a 1/2 mile in one direction... More

The hotel is located a few miles from the Old Port in an area with lots of cheap hotels, chain restaurants, and strip malls. The hotel is spread out with several entrances, more like a motel. The doors leading outside don't close properly. I would guess they can't actually lock them at night like the signs say they do. The... More

Pulled up to find a fire truck and ambulance in the parking lot. When we asked why the receptionist did not know..."people call 911 all the time". Room is very dated, although clean. Very old TV and stuff left in halls. We were not given wireless info. at check in although we found rooms do have it. The wireless is... More

My daughter has stayed there and reported that she loved the pool along with was able to sleep well because it was so peaceful. She stated that things that she needed were close by and she enjoyed her stay. I will be looking at this place to get a room when I am in the Portland area...
