For me, I was on business, I only needed a bed to sleep in and get good rest. But I experienced a LOT more. We found the Wild Iris Inn to be in an excellent location so walking to downtown Portland was easy. Our room was quite small and the door to the bathroom would not stay shut because the latch was installed incorrectly. All other aspects of this B&B were pretty average. We stopped here during our tour of New England. We were pleasantly surprised by this B and B. We found it to be excellent value with very smart rooms and a very nice feel. I found this inn listed online and it was a great find. I stayed in the Tulip Room, with a private bath. The room was wonderfully decorated and comfortable. This is a good place to stay. The owner is very helpful and the accomodations were fine. The e was not a hot breakfast. The bathroom is not "en suite", but since they were not full we didn't have to share. One caveat though, we did have to carry our stuff to the third floor more
