We only stayed there one night but it was really nice. Our room was clean and big. The interior design was modern, and retro at the same time! We loved it! The breakfast was delicious, with lots of local and/or organic products. Everything was so good! Great place to stay in Portland.

We loved our stay in the Mercury Inn. Within walking distance of downtown Portland. The Inn itself is beautiful and the rooms very comfortable. Jake and Tim, were wonderful hosts and really try hard to keep the inn as eco friendly as possible. Breakfast was great, with lots of local produce to choose from. Would definitely stay here again next... More

We were looking for a modern, hip BnB in Portland for a long weekend getaway. This totally met our needs. Tim was great from my first phone call, we ended up booking a suite and inviting friends. The inn's victorian structure is balanced nicely by the minamalist aesthetic. I wish I had more time to enjoy the great reading room... More

I decided to take a solo trip to Portland for a nice little getaway. I was searching for an inn that reflected the local flavor while also introducing a contemporary feel. I was thrilled to find the Mercury Inn. The Mercury Inn stood out as a stylish retreat, that proudly advertises itself as being eco conscious. The Inn is close... More

We wanted to stay in Portland within walking distance of downtown and chose the Mercury Inn. They do it right! The Inn had character, with a comfy bed and a fantastic breakfast. They are really trying hard to support local farmers and the food was delicious, definitely a cut above most B&Bs. I would stay with them again in a... More

I had the pleasure of seeing Mercury Inn before it was renovated, so walking in to see the new modern look was an incredibly pleasant surprise. Everything resonated with me, with subtle hints towards Portland's nautical industries, while highlighting the beautiful victorian architecture of the building and somehow presenting it all in a modern package it all comes together perfectly.... I stayed at Mercury Inn for 2 nights with my boyfriend in the beginning of March. We came up from Boston for our first trip to Portland, ME and Tim and Jacob couldn't have been better hosts! They were super friendly and accommodating when I called on the phone to ask if we could store our bags before check-in (and... More
