What a lovely place. The room was clean, modern, and cozy. There were fresh flowers to greet us. The breakfast was amazing and perfect timing. Lovely hosts. The owner is welcoming and very knowledgable about the area and where to visit. I can't wait to re visit!!!

We had a wonderful stay here! We booked two rooms, one for my husband and I and one for my parents. While not large, the rooms were clean, private and very comfortable. We really enjoyed the beautiful sitting room on the second floor where there was a constant supply of coffee, tea and treats! We were also very happy to... More

After a few days of camping in the rain in Bar Harbor, the Mercury Inn was a great place to warm up and have a clean comfortable stay. The owners, Tim & Jake, are super nice, provided a delicious breakfast, and had great suggestions of what to do while in Portland (I hadn't been there since I was a small... More

Tim, Jake and Henry are the absolute best. We felt like we were staying at a friend's beautiful home instead of a bed & breakfast. The room, overall aesthetic of the home and the breakfast, we can't say enough about the beautiful breakfast that greeted us every morning made our stay all the better. Mercury Inn is a must-stay, no... More

My partner & I stayed at the Mercury Inn for a weekend getaway to Portland. In anticipation of the trip we were most excited about eating at all the incredible restaurants Portland has to offer, but by the end of the trip, the Inn itself was one of the highlights of the weekend! My partner & I really appreciate design,... More

My partner and I recently decided to book a weekend trip to Portland, ME to get away from the never-ending Vermont winter. After finding the Mercury Inn and reading about it we were impressed with the sustainability and think local ethic that Jake and Tim have incorporated into their business. Upon arrival to the Inn we were immediately impressed with... More

It's possible that I just never noticed when I was younger and even more of an idiot than I am now, but the current iteration of Portland seems to feature a number of businesses which (and residents who) exhibit three traits simultaneously: a concern for economic/agricultural sustainability, aesthetic taste, and (still) that kind of self-reliance and sense of propriety native... Great weekend at Mercury inn for friend's bachelorette! Could not have asked for a quainter inn or more accommodating hosts! Breakfast was delicious! Rooms were comfortable and decor was cozy! Loved the extra touch of slippers for each room! Would highly recommend to friends and family and would not hesitate to return next time I am in Portland!

We went with two other couples and shared the second floor which was awesome ! We could get together in the two living spaces with the gas stove, coffee maker and great seating ! Breakfast was lovely with scones, an egg dish and greek yogurt with maple syrup in a jar as well as toast, fruit and nut bars, coffee,... More
