This restored Victorian house has been made into a charming B & B. Rooms were well appointed - with iron & ironing board, hair dryer, ceiling fans, window air conditioner, toiletries, flat screen TV, free wi-fi, etc. Breakfasts were incredible - one day it included a lobster quiche! lots of fresh fruit, etc. There was a sitting room for guests,... We stayed here for two nights on our first trip to Portland. The location is close to the downtown area, near galleries, museum, theatre and shops. You're ten minutes or less from great restaurants. It's about a 25-30 minute walk to the harbor area, but we're walkers, and enjoyed walking off our meals. Walking is completely safe, even at night.... More

This was our second stay at the Morrill Mansion. David is the perfect host - he is knowledgeable about Portland, where to eat, what to visit and how to get around. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Breakfasts were excellent and his mid-afternoon snacks were awesome. We would not think about staying anywhere else in Portland.

We loved staying here for two nights this summer. The room is very cute and clean. We walked everywhere from here. Breakfast was delicious. David really gave us great customer service. I highly recommend this place.

One couldn't ask for more in the heart of Portland where one can walk everywhere. Twenty charming restaurants, some with music, within a few blocks. Proprietor David knows them all, and modern food venues such as Eventide and Hugo. Delightful stay in the 1850 red brick mansion of the genius of baked beans. David enjoys cooking and baking, such as... More

Our two nights at the inn for our first visit to Portland were made quite enjoyable by our stay at Morrill. Really, really good and convenient buffet breakfast and yummy sweets in the afternoon along with a comfortable room with all the amenities were perfect for our needs. A great start to our trip up the Maine coast.

Morrill Mansion was a fantastic visit. I really enjoyed staying here and look forward to doing it again. The room was amazing and so clean. The bathroom was equally as nice. The owner was wonderful and very accommodating. He was helpful at choosing places to eat and had wonderful coffee/tea and goodies for guests. The Whoopie pies were particularly tasty!... More

We really liked this place and enjoyed our three night stay there. Booking online was very easy and the website does a great job of showing each room. Room was very clean, though (as with any New England B&B) the bathroom was very small. Liked that the owner had a separate casual living room for everyone on the second floor,... More

Well appointed three story bed and breakfast with larger than a hotel accommodations and then add the breakfast plus afternoon treats, what more can a person ask for. Comfy bed, soft linens, even soft toilet paper. Loved it and would definitely stay again.
