This clean, quiet hotel in downtown Portland is made special by the staff. I arrived on a sweltering afternoon when the valet was working hard to keep up. That didn't stop him from offering both me and my dog cold water before we even stepped foot in the lobby. The enthusiastic greeting continued at the reception desk, where the clerk... More

This was a pretty good hotel for the money. Since it's advertised as HARBORVIEW! and really stresses the view, we were quite let down by the actual view which we had. Don't expect to see much. Rooms were very clean, modern (a little too modern as far as design goes in my opinion), a spacious. Bed was pretty darn comfortable.... More

This hotel had been let do to seed. The redevelopment is spectacular. The rooftop bar is worth a visit just in and of itself. My suite was tastefully furnished, CLEAN and quiet. The breakfast service was a tad slow, however. I will definitely plan on staying at this hotel when i am next in Portland, ME.

My friend & I checked into theWestin on Sunday afternoon, July 20th, after a terrible experience at Inn by the Sea. We were so lucky to instantly get Eva on the phone and it was totally uphill from there. The hotel is lovely, the staff is way beyond helpful and the rooms we're unite comfortable. John, Eva, the Entire bell... More

The Westin is a beautiful property located in the Art District of Portland Maine. At first appearance, the hotel has a beautiful lobby and restaurant area, and the rooms are well appointed, clean, and comfortable. It's also brand new so that helps. We stayed not long after opening weekend, so there was still construction going on most notably in the... More

Loved the renovation of this old favorite and the view from the rooftop bar is the best in all Portland. BUt the valet parking?! Whats up? Took 25 minutes to get my car and the poor kid said he had to run 6 blocks. I didnt understand this comment at all since i was staring at the adjacent parking garage.

We were excited to go to Portland, Maine. Staying at this hotel added to our great vacation. The hotel offers a shuttle to and from the airport. The staff is amazing! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was great! We will make sure to stay here again!

We were suprised that we could not see the harbor from our room. This was the last hotel we stayed at on our New England trip so we were very happy with the new, large comfortable rooms. We had just stayed at the Bluenose Inn in Bar Harbor and White Barn in Kennebunk. You can see my reviews of these... More

Portland is a great revitalization story. Great food. Really fun times in the gentrified Old Port. However, up the hill on High St is not excellent. Rather, it's depressing. The Westin's refurb of the old Eastland Hotel is a sweet idea but let it be sweet for someone else. Cool lobby and nicely appointed rooms but the hotel has a... More

The entire hotel staff tried really hard and mostly succeeded. Only a few little hick ups made it from a perfect stay. Certainly a nice clean hotel and easy to walk all of Portland within 15min. We were 3 people and all of us remarked on the rough feeling bed sheets. Mini bar was broken on arrival but swiftly exchanged.... More
