I have been to Portland a number of times. Normally I don't stay here because it is to expensive during the summer. In Nov. it is much cheaper. The location is great. Every place downtown is within walking distance. The service was very good and the room was clean. more

This hotel is located right downtown on the waterfront and in the midst of a vibrant art, shopping, dining scene. The hotel is new and well maintained. The staff is very helpful and pleasant. more

used this as an overnight stop on the way from boston to bar harbor. Got exactly what we expected - efficient reception, clean well appointed room, efficient and reasonable valet parking. Only ate breakfast at the hotel which was fine. Handy for the trolley tour and local restaurants and shops more

We spent our 25th anniversary in this hotel in Portland. The location was the best.! It is within walking distance to everything in the Old Port. It is on the waterfront across from docks, restaurants, ferries etc. We had a top floor(6) with the most amazing view possible!. The top floor rooms have picture windows the entire width of the... more

Stopped in Portland at each end of our trip to Bar Harbour and were lucky to pick this Hilton to spend our Hilton points on. It's located on Commercial Street which runs right next to the docks, restaurants, clubs and cool shopping in "Old Port". One of the best restaurants, Fore, and a great bakery (Underneath the restaurant) are right... more

I would never have paid the listed $329/night, but it was worth 35,000 Hilton points. From the 6th floor, had a great view (once you looked past the parking garage that is immediately across the street). Bakery next door is fantastic, especially since breakfast is not included with reward stays. Good staff, clean rooms, crazy price. more

Portland isn't a mecca for luxury accommodations, and this is just about as good as it gets. But in terms of the Garden Inn brand, this is the nicest and best run hotel I've seen. The hotel is either new or newly remodeled, the rooms are newly updated, the free breakfast is as high-end as Garden Inn's get, and the... more

This hotel we stayed in for 1 night and we liked it very much. Staff is friendly and rooms are great. The location is excellent. There is only valet parking for 15 $ and room is a little expensive but its worth it. The pool is a little strange because it very narrow and long. Just a little strange more
