We stay here everytime we go to Portland, and we will NEVER stay anywhere else! The service is ALWAYS outstanding. We do travel with our pets and they are always welcome! They even give the pups a lobster dog treat! If you are looking for the best hotel in Portland, the Portland Harbor is it!!!!

Having never been to Portland, the Harbor Hotel was desirable because it was in walking distance of everything we wanted to see. Once there, we discovered the service was both gracious and prompt. The room was comfortable and quiet (we upgraded to one facing the inner courtyard) and the breakfast the next morning excellent. I would not hesitate to stay... More

We stayed at the hotel during a tour of New England. The hotel is in a great location meaning we could leave the car and investigate Portland on foot. The concierge David was incredibly helpful and suggested some great local restaurants (The Salt Exchange and 555). The staff at the hotel were also very friendly and helpful. The rooms were... More

Wow! Where do I begin. This has to be one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at. From the minute we dropped our car at valet to the minute we checked out I felt like I had died and gone to hotel heaven. The valet guys...super nice. The front desk staff...cheery and helpful. The servers/bartenders....great group. Our room was... More

We just finished our stay at PHH, we stayed 3 nights here. First the hotel is beautiful and we were pleasantly surprised by how nice our room was. We stayed in a junior suite, which had a sitting area, and large bathroom. The shower and tub were on the small side-definitely not meant for 2! We opted to spend a... More

The hotel staff is professional, cheerful, and accommodating. The location is ideal and close to just about anywhere you'd like to walk. I highly recommend this hotel over any chain.

stay away! we've stayed in courtyard marriots that had more comfort and warmth, but for half the price. there's a super loud club right across the street blasting music 'till late at night. kind of like being stuck in a 90's frat party. fun? no. the room is furnished in a mix of various types of vinyl... an engineered wood... We made a last minute stop in Portland, and expected to stay in a Hilton Garden Inn or Hampton. We are so glad to have found the Portland Harbor Hotel instead: it is a real step up. The last minute pricing was competitive with the chains. Many rooms face a very attractive courtyard. The bedding was very nice, the bathroom... More

Although more expensive than we'd usually sign on for, this hotel was great. (We're usually 2.5-3 star folks - but decided to splurge to be right in the heart of old Portland.) The location is fantastic - we were able to walk to everything we wanted - and the service was exceptional. Running late for our schooner sailing trip, the... More

We think that this is an expensive hotel! But, we got what we paid for and then some! Great location, very pleasant staff and some very nice amenities--real newspapers on the week end, complimentary NY Times and Boston Globe in the lobby, Starbucks coffee in the lobby, easy access to computer/printer for airline check-in, and these were the ones that...
