In the heart of Portland, literally step out the door and you are on Four street where all the pubs and bars are, walk a block to the Harbor. Very nice outdoor area and bar. Food was excellent. Rooms were are excellent. Not a cheap hotel, if you are looking for value try, LaQuinta for $100, its a $3 taxi... More

The hotel is in a perfect location for strolling the downtown area. Rooms are smallish but were clean and the linens very nice. The hotel did send an email disclosing street noise, however it is not just street noise it is loud band noise with the constant beat of a base...pretty annoying . This is not under the control of... The room was beautiful and our window overlooked the inner courtyard. Bedding/linens were comfortable and the bathroom was great. I got really sick for 24 out of the 48 hours I was in the Portland and so I really got my money's worth with this hotel room. If I was going to be completely incapacitated and sick on vacation, this... More

Ideally situated in downtown Portland, we stayed 1 night here with our family of 4 during our New England summer vacation. Very clean and comfortable. Hotel staff was very friendly. Comfortable bicycles (with helmets and locks) are available at the hotel for free rental and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the shore trails with them! Being we were only there for... More

Stayed at the Portland Harbor for a conference. Truly a beautiful hotel. I arrived a couple hours early and was allowed to check in right away. I was surprised with a water view. The room was nicely decorated though oddly shaped - was at the end of a hallway so a long, narrow room. Mattress was a little firm for... More

Recently stayed at the Portland Harbor Hotel on a tour of New England with the family. Loved everything about the hotel from the room, the food, the location to the staff. Being that this was a family stay we rented a King executive Suite and a Executive Jacuzzi Suite (the two rooms connected) which was PERFECT for my family...provided a... More

Portland Harbor Hotel How can this still exist, an hotel that looks as if in 50 years the interior has not been changed or updated, yes it may have been renovated but not renewed or adapted to modern design, the interior reminds of hotels in the late 1980s, too much brown, lack of distinction, atmosphere. Its hard to get your... More

First, it's not on the harbor, but I don't think any of the hotels in Portland are on the harbor. You can see the harbor from many of the rooms and you can certainly hear and smell it. Mostly in a good way. If you have never been to Portland Maine, then this is the area of town you want... More

Many indications that this is a nice s hotel but ultimately a guest judges a stay by being able to sleep! Sandwiched between a utility room and a very noisy nightclub operating until the early hours, we were not able to sleep. Hotel management were 'unable to help' as we were staying at peak time (with peak prices) so that... More

Stayed for a night with family after flying into Boston from Europe. We were tired but staff were very friendly and the rooms smartly furnished though not huge. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was pricey and not that family friendly. Common parts also stylish and the hotel well located downtown. Not astonishing value.
