My husband & I stayed in November for a long week end. Our daughter found The Percy Inn for us. It was very nice. We were on the 3rd floor and loved it. The breakfast was fabulous, that brambleberry pie was fantastic! Cindy is the innkeeper and is new. I think she is going to make a huge difference to... More

The Percy Inn was a great and convenient place to stay. I felt like I was staying with rich relatives who had kept an historic home in their family. The bed was comfortable and the atmosphere was cozy without being overly flowery. It was like staying in a Victorian time period novel. The housekeeper Cindy was a great help, made... More

Cindy was our personable receptionist and welcomed us warmly and graciously. Since we arrived at noon, she told us the room would be ready by 3:00, so we left our luggage in the piano room and toured the city which is quite walkable from the Inn. The room was indeed ready when we returned at 2:45 with an informational envelope... More

We stayed in the Ralph Waldo Emerson room (very tired decor) for 4 nights. It was small which was ok. It's on the ground floor and we preferred this. It is within walking distance of the wharf area and there are many nice restaurants in the area. The downsides - 1) We did not expect to have to deal with... More

The conspicuous absence of the 'landlord' that other posters comment on is quite odd - lots of assurances that he is just off doing "the chores". Why pretend to be so present?? The effect is the opposite of the personal touch he presumably intends. However, he has employed some very nice people to do the friendly welcome for him, and... More

Spent a night at the Percy recently. A quaint row like house with parking. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in on the third floor, The Keats, was okay, but a bit small. The stairs to the the room are quite narrow and steep. TV reception was not working properly. Breakfast was well stocked with juices, coffee,... More

We stayed at the Percy Inn twice and had different rooms on each occasion. The rooms are well furnished and clean. The first room was next to the kitchen, the second room next to the dining room. Fine for us but not good if you want to sleep in. Location is fantastic within a two or three minute walk of... More

I just visited Portland for the first time, and am still beaming from my stay at The Percy Inn. I happened to come on a busy weekend for the city; the inn offered the lowest rates around. I reserved the Dorothy Parker junior suite, and loved every second I stayed there. The staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful; they accommodated... More

Cute place, clean rooms, nice location but the service was worse than a trucker motel. No one greeted us, spoke with us (until after I tracked someone down so I could check out), helped us or cared that we were there. No thank you for the business. Only one 10 cup pot of coffee was brewed for 10 guests so... More

Recently stayed here for 4 nights in early August. The location is wonderful for walking and exploring Portland and the area is quiet. I had the Emerson room that is accessed from the side through a separate entrance and has it's own porch with table and chairs. The room was large, with a queen bed, chair, small frig. and TV,...
