We visited the Inn for Columbus Day weekend and had a great time. I was traveling with my fiancé for an alone-time getaway. We stayed in the Spring Room, and it was very roomy and comfortable. The bathroom was great, everything was very clean. I would suggest bringing your own toiletries as there was no conditioner and the shampoo was... more

I picked this B&B largely because of its location. I wanted to avoid the chain hotels, and this is the closest B&B to the Old Port area (about a 10-15 minute walk). Other B&Bs are further west and would add about another 10 minutes -- probably enough to make me think twice and take a taxi at night. The Portland... more

Maybe I've been spoiled by exceptional stays recently at other B&B's , but I was seriouslty let down by my stay at the Inn at Park Spring in late September, 2008. Mainly, my issues were with the quality of our guestroom. My girlfriend and I stayed in the Inn's "Courtyard" room. Unlike the main house, which is nicely appointed and... more

The Inn at Park Spring is in a great location -- just a block from the great Portland Museum of Art, a ten-minute walk to the funky shopping district, a fifteen-minute walk to the port, and within driving distance to Cape Elizabeth and Freeport (if that's your thing). We stayed in "The Gables," a HUGE room on the top floor... more

Our stay of only one night has prompted my husband and me to plan on coming back to Portland and John and Nancy's inn. I only wish I had reserved earlier so I could have stayed another night (could not as they were booked up!). Parking is conveniently across the street in a private lot however one can unload directly... more

We loved this bed and breakfast. We immediately felt welcomed, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were the delicious as well as creative. I cannot wait until I am able to visit the Inn at Park Spring again. Great location to restaurants, shops, musuems. more

We stayed in the 'museum room' for a night at the end of March, 2008. It was our first trip to Portland and were happy to find that the inn was pretty close to most downtown attractions. Since it was pretty cold out, we weren't able to walk too much though, and used our car instead. The room is nice,... more

I've never bothered to review a place before, but now that I am thinking of returning to Portland the first place I thought of was Inn at Park Spring. I stayed here last year when I was looking for a romantic place to stay before and after I proposed to my (now) fiancee. We stayed in the Gables Room, which... more

Our stay at the Inn at Park Spring was fantastic. The Inn itself is lovely and the beds are super cozy. It is a 10 minute walk to the Old Port. Inn keepers Nancy and John are knowledgeable about the area and interesting to talk to. And Nancy's breakfasts are AMAZING and creative. more

The inn is perfectly adequate for a comfortable stay in Portland. Nothing here looks like it's been updated in 20 years, but most everything works fine (although I couldn't open the window and use the blinds at the same time in one of the windows) and the rooms (I stayed in two of them) are clean and comfortable. I did... more
