We recently stayed at a similar hotel (similar vintage) in Pennsyvania. That hotel was so beautifully kept, that it is heartbreaking to see what has been done to this old beauty --- the Eastland Park. While getting ready to go out to dinner I discovered that the the entire hotel was without any hot water at all. The response was incredibly inadequate. I was offered $40 off the price of my room. I think that it is fair to expect a warm shower in even the most mediocre hotel. The Eastland Park is terrible. I won't come back ever. More

This hotel must have been quite grand back in the day. It is in great need of a renovation! The carpet in my room was worn and stained and the walls were not much better. The staff were very eager to please, but I would not stay here again until they have freshened up the place. Could be lovely again with some updating! More

My husband booked a night here for my visit while he was performing at Portland Stage. The room (#830) was clean, large and the bed was very comfy. We were particularly happy that one of windows opened! I love old hotels; the Eastland's lobby is amazing and hopefully the scheduled renovation will actually be a restoration of this well situated historic property. More

This hotel is a great place to stay. Affordable and full of old time charm it's a nice alternative to the usual chain hotels, although it does'nt have all of the perks. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the neighborhood is quaint. More
