The only pro: great location. Otherwise, this hotel should be condemned. I'm all for historic places, but this place is beyond disgusting. The room was bizarrely shaped and humongous. There was mold, hairs in the bed, stains on the carpet, evidence of really old water damage in the closet (see the picture with the wall that is crumbling). I could barely sleep I was so grossed out. If Priceline hadn't stuck us there on Christmas... More

Portland is a great little city with an amazing restaurant scene so we chose to stay at the historic Eastland Park Hotel with its easy access to many of the great eateries in town. There is no parking at the hotel so you have to park at the neighbouring garage which gives a discounted price to the hotel's patrons. We chose to park in the street for free - just make sure that there is... More

My husband and I booked this hotel through Priceline. Front Desk was very nice. I wasn't excited about the parking garage at first but it ended up not being that big of a deal. We stayed on the 11th floor in a corner room. The room was cute and cozy. Nicely decorated. The bathroom layout was a bit odd... a small old stand up shower and a toilet were kind of shoved into this tiny... More

Friendly and knowledgeable front desk staff (loud housekeeping though). Room was large and very clean. Comfortable bed, nice floor to ceiling window and good view of Portland. Dated Tv and fitness room but serviceable. Old fashioned charm but not full historic hotel ambiance. Would stay here again. More

I have a bad back and knee. There was no one to help us with our bags and there were 2 sets of stairs to fight your way up to get to the check in desk and the guest elevators. There is a handicap lift but no one to operate it the room was small with a weird long hall inside the room from the sink by the door to the room to where the... More

The building itself is in great walking location to many nearby restaurants and places of interest. The lobby is very ornate and gives off a very high class feel. We were upgraded to a large room, which was clean and comfortable. If you looked closely you will notice here and there the tell tale signs of aging however overall the experience at check in, dining and sleeping were all very pleasant. More

I believe that many of the rooms in this hotel have been re-done in the last several years and I had one that was very nice and new, plus I had a great view of the city from the windows in my room. The Top of the East bar is a great place to go for a nightcap, with views of the city and South Portland. It was busy the night I was there but... More

This was our 4th stay at the Eastland. After waiting in line for 15 minutes we were given a room on the 11th floor that was small, dingy, dusty, shabby and downright disgusting. The rug is stained all over, light out over the vanity, cold water faucet wouldn't turn off.etc., etc. Very poor ventilation, old TV, remote didn't work, entry door noisey. The hotel did not appear busy and if there are renovations going on... More

I stay at the Eastland Park Hotel several times of the year for business as well as at Christmas time with my wife just to getaway. I've never been disappointed by the hotel; sure it's a bit dated and frayed around the edges, but the rooms have always been neat and clean, the service is excellent and the roof top bar is a great place to have a cocktail with wonderful views. Excellent location in... More

We stayed in June 2011 and I've been meaning to write this review for a while. Whilst the size of the bedroom was satisfactory, the bathroom was tiny, the bath plug hole was blocked when I took a shower and to make it worse - the sink wasn't in the bathroom and in the door way as you enter the room. The carpet was awfully marked in this area and actually made me feel sick... More
