When I arrived, I didn't know what to expect because of the age of the Hotel. But to my surprise, the accomodations of the staff, the room appearance, and the food was very good. For every need that I requested, the service and timing was also very good. My experience at this hotel was much better than a lot of the newer hotels. And yes, I would stay here again and recommend it to others. more

Comfy rooms, great location with easy access to the waterfront. Hotel was in great shape for as long as it's been around. Hotel staff was friendly and the hotel provided great food at a decent price. (My favorite was the Lobster Roll). As for our conference it went off without a hitch and the free internet was something that we all enjoyed. Most others charge a lot for this service. more

Okay, at first I thought it would be a newer more modern Hotel as their web site had led me to beleive. I was really pleasently surprised that although it is modern, it still has the old charm this hotel rightly should have. The rooms although they are beautiful with nice window treatments, and furniture and brand new beds still had the look and feel of days gone by. The room was spotless, and staff... more

& Pet friendly, too! My wife and I stayed one night while visiting my son in Portland. The rooms, staff and amenities were perfect and I would recommend this hotel without reservation. It has an older feel to it than the modern hotels of today, but that's exactly what attracted us. Good value good location. more

Traveled to Portland for a business conference and stayed at the Eastland Park Hotel. The bed was comfortable, the room was warm (and clean!), and the hotel offered tea/coffee 24 hrs in the lobby. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The fitness room on site was small but they have a parternship with a local gym. I'd prefer to workout at the hotel than going some place else. The food offered at the hotel... more

Built during the twenties the hotel has been renovated and expanded without destroying the ambiance. Interesting photos taken when the building was new are exhibited in the lobby and corridors. Our room, in the newer section, was magnificent with a corner window and desk overlooking the city. Free wireless internet was slow because of the location in the building. The Art gallery is across the street and the Port area close enough to walk. Since... more

I stayed at this hotel while visiting Portland on business. I was reluctant to stay based on several of the responses, but there is something to be said about experiencing this hotel in person, or basing my travel decisions around someone else's perceptions. I arrived early (around 1pm) and was told that I was a little early, but that they would check to see if a room was available. The front desk staff was able... more

The hotel is a bit run-down with age and my room reeked of cigarette smoke; I also had to buy earplugs to sleep through the noisy heating system. BUT, the real negative experience occurred when I returned home and found that my credit card had been charged for a room that I never stayed in! They charged the person who checked in after me to my credit card. When I called to have them correct... more

We spent Columbus day and the day after at the Eastland Park. We found it delightful. A great old downtown hotel, with an excellent staff and restaurant. We were on the 8th floor and had a very pleasant room with a great view. Furniture a bit dated, but room was clean and very servicable. We had our dog, and the downtown interesting location made taking a walk very pleasant for him and us. Also a... more
