Although not exactly what I expected from the outside and not encouraged by the parking garage or the mix of people hanging out next to it, the hotel lobby made the Eastland seem promising. However, that feeling was quickly dashed when we entered our room. The room was worn down and lacking air conditioning. A maintenance worker quickly responded and... more

Didn't take long to realize the big wet spot in the middle of the carpet was the source of the cat pee smell. Sketchy service ("Sorry, we're out of washcloths again today!"), dead phone, noisy neighbors, over-priced. I like old hotels with character, but not this one. more

Booked this downtown hotel on Orbitz for a good price, $142/night. Arrival was incoraging. Parking garage nearby for $16.60/day with attached walkway to the hotel. Lobby is beautiful - classic hotel. Our room was on the 9th floor - corner room with full floor to ceiling windows on two walls, very roomy.. Two double beds is an outdated setup. A... more

Location is really all this hotel has got going for it. The women at front desk was not very friendly to start out with. If you have a car you have to pay to park next to the hotel in a horrid garage structure. This hotel has seen better days and by the looks of it, needs a huge renovation.... more

We just returned from a weekend away to Portland and stayed at the Eastland Park Hotel. We arrived Friday evening at 5:00pm but our room was not ready however the staff was nice about it and gave us free drink voucers for the top floor lounge. We had friendly staff and a great view of the city. Our room was... more

Our experience began with parking our car in a garage that made me fear for the safety of my car. After saying a prayer for the car and heading to check in, we were greeted with a drab and somewhat dirty entryway. When we tried to check in, the front desk told us that the room was not ready (we... more

ONE WORD: AVOID Though cheaper than many others near Old Port... I would have rather pitch a tent next time. Service stinks... waited for our room for an hour... keep in mind we got there way after check-in at 4:00. There were bugs, the room smelled bad, they had no conditioner, the staff were not cordial, the ornamental elevator buttons... more

What started as a much anticipated two night stay in a great dog-friendly hotel turned into a one night experience in misery. At check-in, I was informed that the parking garage the hotel uses could not accommodate my over-size vehicle (taller than 7'4"). When I asked what my options were, I was informed that I was on my own to... more

The Eastland Park Hotel is an older hotel that does the best with what it has. The room is not exciting, but it's functional. We had a small problem with the key card entry - the battery in the device had died. Engineering came immediately and fixed it, apologized profusely for the inconvenience. The parking fee at the adjacent garage... more

I was a bit apprehensive booking here based on some of the reviews, but we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is old, but it has a lot of character. We booked online through hotels.com for $86/night, which was significantly cheaper than any other place downtown. They upgraded us to a King room on the top floor. The room was... more
