This hotel must have been quite grand back in the day. It is in great need of a renovation! The carpet in my room was worn and stained and the walls were not much better. My husband booked a night here for my visit while he was performing at Portland Stage. The room (#830) was clean, large and the bed was very comfy. This hotel is a great place to stay. Affordable and full of old time charm it's a nice alternative to the usual chain hotels, although it does'nt have all of the perks. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the neighborhood is quaint. More
