A stop in Portland on the way north allowed us a night at the Regency. Right in the thick of the Old City, it is steps away from shops, bars, restaurants and the waterfront. A room on the street level is very quiet, a testament to the sturdy well-built armory this used to be. Rooms are well appointed and spacious.... More

we recently stayed July 10th for 3 nights in the pet friendly rooms on the lower spa level. I was a little concerned that I might be put in a dark basement but upon reaching the room those worries immediately went a way. You can tell this room was recently renovated and it has plenty of light. I asked for... More

The service is excellent. The open air restaurant across the street is easy relaxing and the food is good. The breakfast is fresh and the wait staff is superb. I have been to this hotel several times and it has always been delightful.

Clean, old-world (with modern updates!) hotel in the heart of Old Port. Steps away from everything in this fun part of Portland. Thanks for the little touches like water bottles in the room and coffee, pastries and newspaper to the room in the morning! Wifi could use improvement.

My family and I stayed here for 2 nights during memorial day weekend. We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are really nice. The staff were very helpful. The location is smack in the middle of the historic district in portland. You're in walking distance to everything. It's worth the stay.

An easy, 10 minute hop from the airport, this friendly hotel has only one negative: As a former armory for the city, the elevators and floors are a bit odd, but you'll figure it out eventually. It's clean, friendly, central and has a spa and good room service. I walked to all of the city's main sites by lunchtime, thanks... More

Stayed in room 434 for one night. Check-in was a breeze, very friendly and we we're given a quiet room on top floor as requested. Valet parking was busy but took care of us within ten minutes. Room was comfortable with beautiful natural light and a view over courtyard in front of hotel. Small sitting area. There was no coffee... More

The Regency is very well situated to the Old Port and restaurants. We stayed at the Regency after a Portland SeaDog baseball game (AA affiliate of the Boston Red Sox). The hotel was about a 30 minute walk to the ball field. The rooms were spacious and our room came with a deck on which we had coffee and pastries... More

We arrived very late in the evening and were pleasantly surprised when the lovely staff met us and upgraded us from the king room with deck we had reserved to the suite. It was a beautiful room with a comfy bed - wish we were staying longer than one night! The hotel is perfectly located in downtown Portland and made... More
