Stayed one night. Valet parking at $12 is reasonable and hassle free. Check-in was quick and simple. Room was great and functional. Beds were amazingly comfortable. Bathroom was huge with a big shower and long counter. Had dinner and drinks at the Armory bar at the hotel. Food was okay and drinks were great especially their martinis. Service was excellent.... Old school hotel. They charge you $12 a day for parking, have no fridges in the room, and the staff at the bar are very unprofessional. Stood around for 15 min trying to get a drink only to be told I couldn't stand there. Walk out and will drink my own beer.

This hotel is in the heart of the Old Port in Portland. It's a wonderfully historic building, which comes with both charms and challenges. Parking: Valet parking is $12 per day, which is reasonable for the area, with in/out privileges. Most times it was very quick; a snowstorm made the wait 30 minutes upon check out. They were doing their... More

I stumbled upon the Regency after an Airbnb fell through. I had my two small dogs with me so I needed to find a dog-friendly hotel last minute. The good news was the a Regency discounted for last-minute stays, the bad news is the exorbitant fee for pets. Not only was it an extra $100 non refundable, but we were... More

2Port "of call on a drive round New England in the fall. Portland centre was older than expected and like this hotel not particularly "glitzy" but solid and interesting. The location is well located for the port and a good selection of bars and restaurants with a good buzz in the evening. An older hotel with good size rooms although... More

We have stayed here a few times and frankly I think it has become our hotel of choice when staying in Portland. Located right in downtown the service and property is unique and fun. We are not one for chains and this fits nicely in that space between a big hotel and a boutique. Rooms are a bit small but... More

Something between a B&B and a boutique hotel. Quaint and modern at the same time. The bathroom was spacious and newly renovated with a great shower (no tub), the room was fresh but carpeted. Overall a comfortable stay in a great location. The downstairs spa offers complimentary steam room and hot tub access for guests. Sweating is not my thing... More

I’ve stayed at the Regency hotel for 1 night as a part of “girls-out” vacation with a friend of mine who flew in from a different state. Hotel staff was very polite and attentive. We were assigned the corner room on the 4th floor. The room and the bathroom were compact but clean and comfortable. Morning coffee could be served... More

Had a wonderful multi-day Thanksgiving stay here. The location right in the Old Port area of Portland made it perfect for great walks and wonderful shopping. We had multiple dinners at the hotel restaurant and the food was phenomenal and the service fantastic. And that was true across the board. Service everywhere was terrific! The only downside is that during... More

My husband and I stayed at the Regency Hotel for our two year wedding anniversary. It was the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a quiet, intimate hotel. Our suite was gorgeous! The room was clean and updated. The staff was professional and accommodating. We were also thrilled with the location as we were in walking distance... More
