The Regency is in a great spot... close to everything but not too close to the "action" in the evening to be disturbed. We drove here - valet parked our car and didn't use it again till we were getting ready to go! I love staying in hotels that are not the "cookie cutter" variety - and this little historic... More

My husband and I took our two children (12 and 15) to Portland for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. We booked the largest suite (with Breakfast Credit) directly, and the price was very reasonable. The room was fantastic: Fireplace, very large balcony overlooking the old town and the water. There was even a fridge, microwave, sink, and (as if they read... More

We love this place ~ The Valey takes the car and you can walk everywhere! The rooms are beautiful with all the comforts. Love the new coffee and tea service to the rooms in the morning. They have a great Spa service down stairs and the bar is a great place to get a nightcap before you head to the... More

Close to the shops and the waterfront area. Stayed on Halloween night and enjoyed the young crowds in their costumes! Hotel is adorable and comfortable and would recommend if you want to park the car and walk around to the great restaurants and entertainment. I thought the beds were perfectly comfortable, others in the party thought they were too soft.

Located near some cute shops on Milk Street, the Regency was a really unique experience compared to many other area hotels. From the minute you walk in and are greeted by the friendly staff and energetic valet/bell hop, it is like stepping back in time to a grand old place. The decor was beautiful and the rooms were cozy and... More

We had an excellent time at this hotel. The staff was wonderful. The hotel was centrally located. The bathroom was modern with a glass shower and a whirlpool tub. The bar downstairs had a great atmosphere and the drinks were delicious.

This hotel is ideally located in the centre of Portland. Our room was comfortable enough and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. There was nothing wrong with the hotel but it was a little dated and in need of an update. Our room was a reasonable size but lacked character. However, we had asked for a quiet room away... More

The regency has a great location and is walk able to everything in portland. It is a historic hotel so there are some funky things about it. It's not every day that you stay somewhere that still uses real KEYS! You can tell it was added to over time. Bathroom was updated but had a drop ceiling, even in the... More

Nice renovated armory building in the Old Port district. Our deluxe king was a very small room at a surprising price for Portland ME. Our bed and breakfast package limited us to $15 per person in a restaurant where you can't eat for that if you have coffee and or juice. Shouldn't nickel and dime you at $289/night plus taxes

A lovely hotel in downtown Portland. Easy walk around town. Plenty of shopping, restaurants, bars and nightlife, all within walking distance. Bed was very comfortable. I did not find the room or bed small as other reviewers did. We stayed in a King Suite (although I don't remember the exact type, we had a balcony). It was quite comfortable. We... More
