The Residence Inn downtown was a perfect place for our overnight trip to Portland. The hotel is located close to the waterfront - a short walk (2 or 3 blocks) from the hustle & bustle of the Commercial St. businesses. We liked the location as it is quieter than some of the other hotels. Parking is located across the street... More

This was a Great spot to explore Portland Port area. It was close to most everything. The rooms were fresh and clean. We had a waterview studio which was plenty of space for the two of us. Inside the room was a bucket of Shipyard beer with coozies, glass and bottle opener. Everyone was friendly and the frree buffet breakfast... More

Met an old college friend here for the night to catch up with each other. Room was small though it had a little kitchenette in it and a full size fridge. Location near the waterfront was decent. Free wifi and buffet breakfast were good but at $249 for one king bed, this was no bargain. Hotel was clean and had... More

Try to get to Portland at least once a year, this time it was there Spring Old Port Festival. Fun, good food, lots of vendors to check out. First visit to Residence Inn, enjoyed as well. Plenty of room, very clean and helpful. Breakfast included, that was just OK. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

Our family (wife, son, myself) stayed here in early June for two nights at the end of our vacation to Boston and Maine. The hotel is well maintained, with a large indoor pool and spa, very nice lobby and breakfast area. The morning breakfast is your usual Residence Inn fare and was all fresh and well stocked. The rooms were... More

I'm a loyal Marriott's rewards member and book stays with them multiple times per year. Our room (king studio) was updated with a contemporary kitchenette and comfortable bed. The unit was clean. It is within walking distance of most attractions in downtown Portland. The main problem I had with this hotel was with allergies. My husband had the sniffles and... More

Easy access from the interstate or from old Hwy. 1 and only a couple blocks from all the shops and restaurants on the harbor. Rooms are very clean and well appointed and the suites have all the amenities needed to cook your very own intimate seafood dinner for two. I had a view of the courtyard from my window but... More

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on our trip to Portland and enjoyed our stay. The rooms and bathroom were clean and spacious, and the location was perfect for us because we mainly hit up the Downtown District on foot. The walk from the hotel to heart of the city was 5-10 minutes and extremely convenient. We got... More

We were staying a few days in Portland and wanted a good "home base," from which we could walk to explore the sights and tastes of the city. With TripAdvisor's help, we settled on the Residence Inn Downtown/Waterfront, which turned out to be an excellent choice. We found we could easily walk to a large variety of restaurants and attractions... More
