Overall the experience was excellent. Desk personnel were very, very helpful. food selection could have been a bit better; but don't let that stop you from staying here. Room was clean and roomy. Bathroom was clean and adequate as well.

My wife and I stayed here while running the Old Port Half Marathon. It was the cheapest hotel we found in Portland at $245 a night. I would say this should be a $119 a night hotel at best. Its not in downtown so you will have to drive a few miles. Cabs are very cheap about $10.00 for 2... More

Only a few mins walk from Amtrak station and walkable into town and ferry terminal if you are used to walking, it took us about 40 mins in hot weather! Friendly checking, our room was end of floor 4 and very quiet. Comfy large bed, facilities in room were coffee maker, TV, hairdryer, shampoo, soap, free WiFi, all worked, all... More

My husband, myself, and our 1 year old daughter stopped here for one night to break up our long drive up to Bar Harbor. The room was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. It is a little bit of a distance from the waterfront area, but it's affordable and only a 5 minute drive away from the... More

I thought this hotel was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The location puts you within a 20 min walk to the West End (maybe a little less). Downtown being about 25-30. Which is exactly what we wanted. However, we did end up taking Uber a few times and it was approx $5-$6 each time. Which is a great... More

LaQuinta lets you bring big dogs without an extra change, this is the primary reason we chose LaQuinta. The lobby and rooms had been remolded somewhat recently and felt very clean. This hotel had a satisfactory breakfast and was about 6-10 minutes from the downtown Portland waterfront. The location is a bit industrial but I felt safe walking the dog... More

First of all, location. It seems that Portland only has expensive hotels in the port area, a few mid-level brands further out and some Hilton brands near the airport. The La Quinta was the most reasonably priced hotel I could find. So maybe my expectations were too high. Anyway, it's fairly close to the airport and has a shuttle that... More

After having a good night's rest in a great roon, we came upon a situation as we were getting ready to leave that gave me some concerns. Those were the way that a what appeared to be a supervisor directing a maid to do things in such a manner that was very demeaning, rude & very harsh. This accrued on... More

My kids love to swim, but not in freezing water, but the room was ok and breakfast satisfactory! It's about 10 minutes to the wharf area... No major complaints, but I would probably look for another hotel should I visit Portland again :)

Very nice quiet location, near ballpark, and highway entrances. Portland is a wonderful artsy, eclectic city and offers numerous craft breweries, wineries, and distilleries, as well as, fresh seafood selections.
