We stayed here while on our way to Bar Harbor. For us, it was a perfect location, as we wanted to go the minor league baseball game that night and it is right down the street. The room was quite clean and roomy. It was a great value, especially with the AAA discount. In addition, when I asked the front... more

Great hotel for the price I paid. It was clean and the staff were friendly. The location is not the best if you want to walk to Portland city centre so maybe drive rather than walk. I did walk it and it was fine but can see why others may not want to. It is about 25 minutes to the... more

At first a bit sketched out by the neighbourhood where the hotel was located (across from a large dairy), but was very happy with this hotel. Room was spotless, beds comfortable and sheets clean. Free wireless in the room and a computer for use in the main lobby as well as a continental breakfast (make your own waffles! Yum). There... more

Approaching the hotel I was a little dubious because of the immediate surroundings which look a bit dumpy, however, I was welcomed by a very professional, friendly and efficient member of staff who took the time to tell me about all facilities included. Following the speedy check in I then settled into the room which I found to be very... more

As I prefer to stay at La Quinta, but this one was by far my favorite. The staff were so nice and friendly, every night I went outside for my bad habit they would chat with me when I came back in. The coffee was always hot, and I made sure to get up for the breakfast b/c it was... more

We stayed at this hotel on a stop over on the way to, and on the way back from Florida. I was a little skeptical after reading some reviews, but chose this hotel due to its location. We were quite pleasantly surprised. Checkin was quick and simple. Staff was professional and courteous. One desk clerk however looked like he just... more

Hotel, lobby, room, bathroom, carpet was very clean. Room was updated with very good quality curtains, bed dressings. I felt like i was staying in a Hampton Inn. My towel fell on the floor too and there was nothing on it when I picked it up. I could not find anything wrong with this place. Nothing. Our room was on... more

We have just returned from a shopping trip to Portland, Maine. I booked a hotel for $76.00 taxes inc. per night through Hotwire. The hotel was La Quinta Inn and Suites. Check in was fast and efficient. The staff was friendly. They claim that the rooms have been renovated. The beds were clean and comfortable and then it goes downhill... more

Very unclean, towel dropped on floor, when I picked it up, it was black were the towel touch the floor. front desk says hotel resurfaced parking lot, and the black stuff from the lot is everywhere. On your shoes, anything you do that rolls, walk on parking lot will be black. Not in good area. Was suppose to be here... more

Interesting as I read the reviews of this hotel, I had to double check to see if it was the same one my wife and I stayed in. We stayed here the day we arrived in Portland before driving to Bar Harbor, and the night before we flew home. We thought the hotel was clean, the staff was helpful and... more
