We stayed in the Longfellow room for the last night of a wonderful trip in Maine and New Hampshire. The house is beautiful and charming, the atmosphere warm and cosy. The room is very comfortable and furnished with great taste and small details making the difference. Breakfast was excellent. Good location, about 20 minutes by walk to the city center.... More

We stayed in the Longfellow room for two nights as part of an anniversary trip. The house was lovely and little touches like the robes and free snacks were very nice. The breakfasts were delicious. It was a little further away location wise from bars and restaurants than we had anticipated, especially the port area but worth the walk. We... More

We are very happy that you enjoyed your rooms, the extra touches, and breakfast. We really try hard to make everyone's stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible! All of the bed and breakfasts are located in the West End of Portland. There are no bed and breakfasts right in the downtown area--and I don't think you would want there... More

We spent three nights at The Chadwick for an anniversary weekend. The house is charming, a perfect blend of its 1890s character and decor with 21st century amenities. Our room (Chamberlain) was spacious and luxurious, and the bed very comfortable. The window unit provided ample AC even in the middle of summer. The innkeepers, Scott & Erin, were welcoming hosts... We spent a wonderful anniversary weekend at the Chadwick. The Baxter room was small but perfect for us, with a cute private balcony and a large private bathroom across the hall. We admired the fire pit and hammock in the yard but did not get a chance to use them. We did take advantage of the free cookies, drinks, computer,... More

Charming B&B, beautifully maintained and decorated, excellent breakfast, clean and luxurious rooms. We stayed one night and were very comfortable. Our private bath down the hall had everything we needed. There is a window air conditioning unit in each room which makes for a wonderful night's sleep. I'm not sure if there is air conditioning on the main floor, but... More

I stayed in the Chadwick for one night and had a great time. The room was comfortable, the house was charming, and the bathroom was spacious. I loved that there were only 4 rooms, it made it cozy and personal. Also Scott was very welcoming and made us a delicious breakfast. The cookies are amazing too! Do not pass those... More

Very clean and beautiful place. Erin and Scott were very friendly. The breakfasts were exceptional. Loved the cookies and wide variety of teas. We would definitely stay here again. Keep up the good work. Rita 7/21-7/24/14

This was our first trip to Portland and I'd had little time to fully research accommodations and neighborhoods. Selected the Chadwick based on reviews here and it was very much as described. Only two rooms were available the one night we were to stay and so we selected the Baxter despite it being the smallest of room in the Inn... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your stay at The Chadwick Bed & Breakfast. The Baxter Room is a staff favorite. Although it is the smallest of our rooms (and we don't hind that fact on our website or in phone conversations) it has three great things going for it. First, it is the only... More

It's not easy to impress six women but you managed to do so with great aplomb. The inn itself was very charming and the rooms exquisite. The innkeeper and staff were very cordial and accommodating. And breakfast on both mornings was decadent. Sheila 7/16/'14
