I would highly recommend The Chadwick! The grounds and rooms are beautiful, and the breakfast is AMAZING! Loved the cookies and snacks available, and the wine selection was very good. I would definitely stay here again!

It's not easy to impress six women but you managed to do so with great aplomb. The inn itself was very charming and the rooms exquisite. The innkeeper and staff were very cordial and accommodating. And breakfast on both mornings was decadent. Sheila 7/16/'14

We've always loved Portland, and this B&B was a relaxing and delightful part of this year's trip. Comfy bed and clean bathroom with a nice breakfast and good wine selection. About a 1.5 mile walk to the harbor attractions and < 1 mile to desirable restaurants on Congress St. Would stay again.

I really liked the experience at the Chadwick. First off, the first floor was well laid out. You can tell a lot of thought went into making the best possible experience for the guests. The living room included a nice sitting area, wine available, and a dinning room with cookies and fruit available. The rooms were equally well appointed. Breakfast... More

The most amazing B & B I have every had the pleasure of staying in . . . we first discovered The Chadwick just over two years ago, on a fantastic get away weekend to Portland! The perfect mix of comfort and style, Scot creates a warm and inviting atmosphere that mixes Old Port charm with modern convenience. We have... More

My husband and I stayed at the Chadwick B&B for 2 nights in July. Although the location is not in the Old Port neighborhood, we found this did not hinder our experience at all. It actually helped gaining a few pounds with the 20 minute walk in and out each day :) The rooms are very clean and beautiful. We... More

This was our first experience of an American B&B after staying in many at home in the UK. We were curious to see how the two compared! After 6 nights in a city hotel in New York what a great change of pace was the Chadwick. We were greeted by Scott who showed us around this beautiful period property. Guests... More

My husband and I decided on a fairly last minute short mid-week getaway. I searched on-line and found the Chadwick had one room remaining. We booked it and were very happy with our choice. The location is good. Not too far from downtown (and Caiola's) if you like walking. We parked our car and didn't use it the four days... More

Visited the Chadwick in June of 2014 for a week and stayed in the Abbott Room. Before going, I was skeptical of any B&B. I must say I was completely won over by the Chadwick. The location is very nice being close to everything we wanted to do in Portland. The rooms were great. The bed was extremely comfortable and... More

I found this inn to be so welcoming and comfortable and the staff so friendly that I didn't want to leave! The breakfasts and Erin's cookies are to die for and the Baxter Room with it's little balcony and wicker chairs was a delightful afternoon escape after touring Old Port restaurants and shops and museums. The neighborhood is very quiet... More
