We have stayed at the Poland Springs Resort (not really a resort) several times over the years with groups of friends for various purposes. This time we came for a golf weekend. Nothing has changed in this place for years (decades!). The rooms are spotlessly clean, but the decor is out of the 1950's. There are no extras like toiletries,... More

The grounds are meticulously kept and the historic buildings are well maintained, but the overall feel when we were there last week was depressing. The staff had a consistently dour attitude. There was no elevator and no one to help us carry our bags upstairs. The matron who assigned us to our seats in the breakfast room acted like she... More

We love going to Poland Springs Resort. It has many activities for the family onsite, in addition to hiking and the Maine Wildlife Park and the Shaker Village just down the street. Accommodations are nice and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We love being able to check out sports equipment rather than having to pack it all and... More

It was an extremely older crowd. There were four 30-50 year olds that stayed for a golf trip, and we found that it was an older resort. The rooms at the Lodge were very average. We had a problem with the air-conditioning unit the first night, and once reported it was repaired within 2-3 hours. The restaurant, buffet style, was... More

My friends and I have been coming here for over 20 years for a golf weekend and have never been disappointed. Extremely reasonable prices, great food, awesome scenery and just about the friendly staff you'll meet anywhere.

14 years between visits. Nothing changed but well maintained. This is stress free as advertised. The visitors appear to be mostly seniors. There are no elevators so I suspect there are limited rooms for those needing help with steps. Rooms in Presidential Lodge are basic. Food in the main building is functional, enough calories and doesn't taste bad. There is... More

Just got back from a stay @ Poland Springs Resort, and my family and I had a wonderful time. Great food. Staff was so nice and accommodating. So much to do at the resort that we really didn't have to travel off the property to have a great time. We did go to a state park that is only a... More

This weekend Aug 1, 2015, two couples went to Poland Springs resort. We enjoy unique, authentic places that tell a story. The Poland Springs Resort has many stories to tell, the decades of history are on display and documented all around you. Spectacular views, do not miss sunset from the porch. Fall must be spectacular here. The Resort buildings are... More

Stayed in The Lodge at Poland Spring Resort. It was really nice. The rooms were newly remodeled. Great breakfast and dinner buffet. It is a resort so we had to go to The Maine Inn for our buffet's. But if you stay at the resort choose The Lodge it is the best. Also thumbs up to Kristle who worked the... More

If you're looking for a five star resort, you're at the wrong place. This resort is a vintage, quaint property. Very clean rooms,tv's are small no frills but great continental breakfast in the lobby at the lodge featuring fresh waffles! Friendly staff and grounds security!. If you like a stress free weekend rocking on the front porch while watching a... More
