The Alamosook Lakeside Inn is a beautiful place to stay with outstanding views of the lake and exotic wildlife. It was one of the best vacation stops we have ever experienced. This is small quiet country lakeside lodge located on road that you'd swear you had taken a wrong turn. However it is just minutes away from a decent size town. The Inn exceeded all expectations and was a great value, convenient to Highway 1 and provided a true "lodge" experience. We are a couple of seniors who chose to spend the two nights in a comfortable bed with a shower. Our young grandchildren and family stayed in a lovely but old Maine camp located nearby. The shower was not adequate but I suspect the well does not provide enough pressure especially when the lawn sprinklers were operating at the same... more

We stayed a long weekend at the Alamoosook over the Fourth of July weekend. Our room was spare, but comfortable. The breakfast was great, from fresh blueberry pancakes to waffles, and a different one each morning served promptly when you get to the tables. The lake is the most quiet and calm in the mornings. Our room was very clean and quiet (the inn was only half booked during the night we stayed). The bed was very comfortable. The inn is on a very peaceful lake.
