We just happened to be there in Oct. and the week was perfect with colors. Someone asked me today how it compares to Door County Wis. I said multiply by 200. It was awesome. The view from the dining room out to the lake is beautiful. We borrowed the canoes and took pics of the eagles nest on the mini-islands... more

We enjoyed our stay at the inn for many reasons. Gina was a wonderful hostess, the room was comfortable, the rec room was fun, the breakfast was great, and the lake was incredibly beautiful. We availed ourselves of the free use of a canoe in the morning and had a nice paddle around the lake in the rising mist. It... more

Hospitality, comfort, breathtaking surroundings, all at a reasonable price. The proprietor and staff did everything they could to make our stay wonderful, and I will recommend this beautiful inn to my friends and family. We hope to take our skis and snowshoes there for our next outing. And my firm is considering holding a workshop there next spring. more

Our stay at the Inn was the second part of our trip to Maine. I loved it at first site. The view of the lake is wonderful and it was so enjoyable to sit out in Adirondack chairs by the lake. Gina and her staff were warm, friendly and very helpful during our stay giving us advice on dining choices,... more

The Alamoosook Lakeside Inn was the perfect spot for our vacation. Gina the lodge keeper made us feel so welcome greetings us warmly when we arrived. She showed us to our adorable room and gave us a mini tour of the Inn. She went out of her way to help prepare delicious breakfasts that worked with my diabetes. After breakfast,... more

The Alamoosook Lakeside Inn is perhaps the most scenic bed and breakfevest where we have ever stayed. Located right on a beautiful lake, not far from Bar Harbor, you can relax, hike, kayak, swim, fish, go antiquing, and anything one can enjoy in this beautiful part of Maine. Gina, the owner, is incredibly friendly and helpful. She is extremely knowledgeable about... more

This was not what we call a Bed & Breakfast. This was a house that was converted into a so called Bed & Breakfast. They add 6 bedrooms that were off of a long enclosed hallway. The Dining room was very large. (It also served as a meeting room with pot luck dinners for the HOME OWNER ASSOCIATION meeting, which... more

I loved this extremely cozy little place--the woodstove, the knotty pine, the lake with loons and eagles, the whole nine yards. Room was really clean and comfortable and just==sweet, I guess. The front room had a fire going in the wood stove, where you could just sit and think and watch the fire, or turn the other direction and stare... more

The Alamosook Lakeside Inn is a beautiful place to stay with outstanding views of the lake and exotic wildlife. It was one of the best vacation stops we have ever experienced. The Innkeeper was extremely service oriented; knowledgeable about the surrounding area, and the breakfast she provided was outstanding. more
