I loved this extremely cozy little place--the woodstove, the knotty pine, the lake with loons and eagles, the whole nine yards. Room was really clean and comfortable and just==sweet, I guess. The front room had a fire going in the wood stove, where you could just sit and think and watch the fire, or turn the other direction and stare... more

The Alamosook Lakeside Inn is a beautiful place to stay with outstanding views of the lake and exotic wildlife. It was one of the best vacation stops we have ever experienced. The Innkeeper was extremely service oriented; knowledgeable about the surrounding area, and the breakfast she provided was outstanding. more

This is small quiet country lakeside lodge located on road that you'd swear you had taken a wrong turn. However it is just minutes away from a decent size town. Innkeepers are eager to please & helpful. The room was clean, very comfortable & the decor matched the lodge theme. The TV was down stairs in the rec room, however... more

My husband and I decided to head up to Maine this year instead of taking our usual trip to the Adirondacks. On the advice of a friend, we stayed at the Alamoosook Lakeside Inn... and now we are totally hooked. Free kayaks AND an undeveloped lake shore? You can't find that in the Adirondacks! We will be back next year... more

My husband and I really LOVED the Alamoosook Lakeside Inn in Orland, Maine. Gina, the lodge keeper, made us feel at home. We are from the midwest, so visiting Maine was special for us. Gina told us about the history of the area and recommended some of the local attractions - Jordon Pond at the Acadia National Park, beautiful Blue... more

We spent 5 cozy nights at the charming Alamoosook Lakeside Inn. We really enjoyed our stay. What a peaceful, relaxing location. Gina, our gracious innkeeper, provided delicious breakfasts, good coffee and good conversation. (The creme brulee french toast was incredible!) The dining room looks out to the lake - there couldn't be a more serene setting. The rooms are comfortable... more

The Inn exceeded all expectations and was a great value, convenient to Highway 1 and provided a true "lodge" experience. First, I know how difficult it is to run an older lodge and keep all the systems in good shape. We didn't encounter one thing that was broken or dirty or tacky. Everything was wonderful, especially the canoes, kayaks, chairs,... more

We are a couple of seniors who chose to spend the two nights in a comfortable bed with a shower. Our young grandchildren and family stayed in a lovely but old Maine camp located nearby. The shower was not adequate but I suspect the well does not provide enough pressure especially when the lawn sprinklers were operating at the same... more

We stayed a long weekend at the Alamoosook over the Fourth of July weekend. Our room was spare, but comfortable. The breakfast was great, from fresh blueberry pancakes to waffles, and a different one each morning served promptly when you get to the tables. The lake is the most quiet and calm in the mornings. We heard loons singing many... more

Our room was very clean and quiet (the inn was only half booked during the night we stayed). The bed was very comfortable. The inn is on a very peaceful lake. They have canoes and kayaks for guests (free). We went for a short paddle on the placid lake and heard loons. The foliage was beautiful. The breakfast was adequate... more
