We stayed 2 nights recently and first off, Marlene came right out of the office to greet us at the gate. We hopped on her golfcart and she showed us our lot. It was a cozy site, well-shaded and had full hookups. We took our son to the pool. It was pristine. .. sparkling clean. Behind us was a sight... More

After looking for awhile online, we came across this gem of a campground. After making a couple calls to the owners and getting exceptional service, we decided this was the place for our family on our two week camping vacation. I am a native from Maine but not from this area, so the recommendations given to us by Marlene and... More

Marlene and Dave just bought the place in October and are working to make it the best. Everything is very neat and clean. Sunday morning is pancakes with blueberry sauce. They plan events for holidays. Some sites are not shady YET. Trees have been planted. The Estates area of the park is dog friendly with a nice fenced dog area.... More

While we were staying at the Shady Oaks Campground, we had truck problems, I phoned Marlene from a local gas station, and her and her daughter arrived within minutes to lend us her car, while ours was getting fixed. Marlene and her husband Dave, couldn't have been more hospitable and kind. The Campground has a really homey feel, and they... More

This park is really nice and they like children. They have a pool, playground and train ride once a week for the children. We stayed in the lower area and were there for a month from mid-July to mid-August. We would camp here again and e park is reasonably priced. The owners are nice and go out of there way... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Shady Oaks. The owners were very nice and accommodating. The only thing I wished was that they allowed pets. I do understand that sometimes they can be a distraction. Our dog however is part of our family. Other than that everything was great. I would say it's more for those of the retired age.... More

My husband and I spend about four months here every summer and have since we retired seven years ago. We just love it there. It is our home away from home. We have made so many good friends who are a big part of our lives. We all go places together, eat together, and have a ball. For those of... More
