We spent four nights in a suite: living area with table and chairs, futon, and TV; bedroom with two double beds; and kitchen (it's listed as kitchenette, but it's fully stocked with small stove and oven, so I call it a kitchen); and good sized bathroom with full tub (only amenity is soap). We were lucky to get a suite... More

So my family and I have been coming to OOB for 4 years and have been trying to find the perfect place to stay. Each summer we leave saying we need to find a different hotel... But NOT this summer! We have found a great place for our yearly tradition. Richard's By The Sea is a quaint inn that is... More

I have traveled to many locations and value my vacation and relaxation due to my stressful job as a Fire Chief. Richards By the Sea and owner Lisa score a 10 in every category. Lisa is on site and truly cares that her guests have an enjoyable time. No, this is not the Ritz, but I have stayed in many... More

My wife and I stayed here with our son during the last weekend in June (Fri, Sat and Sun nights) and had a great time. Lisa (owner) was very nice, answered all of our questions about the area, recommended places to see and provided us with anything we needed during the long weekend. We stayed in an exceptionally clean 2... More

This place is not directly on the beach, but just a couple of houses down. You do not however miss the beach at all. Although none of the rooms have a beach view on any level (except the owners private level on the top floor), you can see the beach and/or the pier from the decks. And the beach is... More

As a business owner, I personally try to be sure everything is very clean, comfortable and enough. Richards By The Sea provides so many items and extras (hotels do not) that one could easily notice something that was missing or possibly overlooked. We strive for perfection, everyday, we are not there yet. What I appreciate most, is the opportunity to make... More

What a delight! My husband and I and our two children just returned from this quaint beach inn. Lisa is very pleasant and she goes out of her way to make you feel like this is your home away from home. We arrived on a Wednesday and we had the inn to ourselves until Friday when people began to arrive... More

My family and I stayed here for a few days last August from a referral from a friend. We absolutely love the location! The beach is steps away and the Pier a super close walk for my teenagers. The owner is so kind and informative---she took extra time to tell us about the area and where to go, where to... More

The most awesomeness place to stay in OOB. Short walk to the pier. We don't drive, just walk everywhere. Kitchenette's are helpful; so we only eat out if we want to. Lisa -owner; on property if you have any questions, always very loving and wanting to help.

We stayed here mid-August. Lisa was absolutely wonderful from the moment I spoke to her on the phone. When we were stuck in traffic on the way there, she called to make sure everything was ok. The room was beautiful, ocean view. VERY clean and had everything you needed. Just a couple of steps from the beach and pier. I... More

Stayed here 3 nights recently. The building is obviously older but it is immaculately clean. Our room was small but very clean & had everything you'd want in a room. Full kitchen. TV, AC, comfie bed. The owner, Lisa, is great. Very visible, great to talk with & answer any questions. Very close to the beach-you can throw a rock... More
