We stayed here for a weekend while visiting Portland. We wanted to be close to a beach so we decided to stay at Old Orchard Beach. I'm so glad we did. It was fun to be able to walk to the pier and play some old school arcade games and ride the ferris wheel while staying at a nice inn.... More

Biggest complaint are the stairs. Very, Very steep. If you have mobility problems, the upper floors are not for you. As the Inn is on a main road, light sleepers will hear traffic all night. The breakfast is just OK. Fruit, oatmeal, a baked item and coffee. Not great but OK. Plenty of parking. No closet or place to hang... More

The hotel was a lot better than Old Orchard Beach which is a low class beach town lined with tee shirt shops and penny arcades. It is sort of a hybrid between a hotel and an inn. The owners do not live on property and the workers go home at 9 p.m. Our room was quite large with very squeaky... More

The room was clean and the people at the front desk were very helpful. Even though we were a late check in there was hot water in the lobby for tea and they kindly brought us some ice. There was parking right outside. The breakfast room was very clean and the food selection was good. They served breakfast for several... More

Checked in and were confronted with strong air freshener odor, bathroom door that cannot close, no closet, no storage, small window that looks onto driveway and plastic lined mattress cover that creaks when you move. Mattress also needs to be replaced. One night would be ok but we booked multiple nights and am feeling like I picked the wrong room... More

OOB is a great place to visit. We drove there with no reservations thinking we could easily find a place to stay given the high number of hotels. After stopping at several with vacancies and looking at the rooms, we quickly realized most of them would not be comfortable for us. We called the OOB Inn and they had 2... More

This place has the greatest service I've ever experienced, and is an incredible historical site. Even though the building is well over 100 years old it's in incredible condition. I could come and go whenever I wanted because the key unlocked the door to the house.

My boyfriend and I stayed for his birthday and were impressed by the beauty and history of the inn. The ambiance was gorgeous; colonial-esque and very soothing. We couldn't believe we were sleeping in a room that was built in the 1730s! The staff was so friendly and accommodating, and the location is perfect. Close to the ocean without being... More

I stayed at the Inn several times last year while in Maine on business. The staff is very pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast is better than I expected, with delicious freshly baked muffins and breads. Unfortunately, it's at the top of a very busy road, so as a light sleeper I found it very annoying. There are a couple... More
