The Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful The rooms are clean and spacious. The location is great. You are right on the beach and within walking distance to amusements, nightclubs and restuarants. more

My husband and I stayed for a week (the second time this year) and we had a great time. The ocean is steps away and the sunrise is absolutely wonderful! The staff and service are couteous and efficient. If you love a sand beach and the ocean this is the place to stay. Bring a Kite!!!!!! more

Looked good on the outside. Staff failed to tell us their was not any elevators and had to carry bags up steep stairs. Air conditioning in window on one side of room, other bed was behind a partition and no air. Hot all night. Not worth the money. $160.00 a night. more

Dear guest we appreciate your frustration with our lack of elevator. We have been getting our ducks in a row to make that a reality. I can tell you to install an elevator will cost us over 1 million dollars to do. The god news is we feel this is a real need and when we do get that installed,...

We were very pleased with the service that we received from the staff. Last year we stayed at their sister property in Wells Beach, The Lafayette Oceanfront Resort and were just as pleased. The rooms are older but VERY clean. They allowed us to view other Oceanfront rooms for the visit next year. We were in a seperated room in... more

Thank you we have learned a lot from our sister property in Wells, Lafayette's Oceanfront Resort as well as our sister property in Old Orchard The Sea View Inn. We are always working on providing the best service and it is nice to hear when we get it right.

we didn't get the rooms we booked, we were given more expensive rooms and had to pay the extra price [we booked the rooms in march of '09]. we had a gift certificate that was supposed to guarentee the '08 prices, this wasn't honored. they gave my son a hard time about checking in, to the point of being rude,even... more

Dear Guest, I am so happy we have been able to address your concerns and have come to an accord. After your stay please remember that I did call your home and speak with your husband to explain our position and to clear up any confusion. At that time he told me your work schedule had odd hours and you...

I spent one night in an ocean front room at the Waves with my family. I read all the reviews here before we went so I was pretty well prepared. I am writing this so you too can make your own decision. I cannot believe this place has the nerve to call these premium rooms. So what that it faces... more

We always appreciate constructive criticism but we feel as though some your thoughts were a bit misleading. The room you stayed in has been updated quite a bit. We have spent thousands of dollars in new carpet, floor tiles, kitchenette, painting, counter tops, TV’s, and beds. The curtains are about 5 years old and not decades old. The only thing...

The room was filthy, Old and broken down. They should be ashamed to call it a resort. The windows were so dirty we couldn't see our ocean view. When we asked the housekeeper to clean the window she did one pane on the inside not making it any better. Parking spots are very tight. Staff appeared to be indifferent to... more

I called this motel the day before we wanted to go,after calling a few others that we had stayed at before, which had no vacancy. We got an oceanside room, reasonably priced for peak season. They have about 6 or 7 seperate buildings and the one we stayed in was beach side. Although the outside of the building could use some updating,... more

Friendly place. Easy to get to. We parked the car and never drove till we left. Had a ocean front room with a brand new deck! My daughter who is 2.7 loved it. Took us 2 seconds to be on the beach. This was our second year in a roe here. It might have to be a tradition!! Saw fire... more

The Oceanfront Rooms you were speaking of have been a hit this summer. We look forward to improving them even more in the future. We hope the Waves does become your yearly retreat as we have families that have been coming here for over 60 years. It is what makes this place so special just like Maine in the summertime.

We are very sorry about your stay while at The Waves Oceanfront Resort. We pride ourselves on providing the most clean, high quality rooms in the area. It is very difficult to address an issue after a guest has left. We have 6 Premeir Oceanfront rooms and 7 other Oceanfront rooms. From new oceanfront decks, to 42' flatscreen TVs and...
