The airconditioner was malfunctioning and rattled and clanged all night. The curtains let in the early sunlight and woke us up at 6 AM. We slept badly. The bathroom had a musty smell. The room was at the bottom of three flights of stairs which made it difficult to move luggage. There were no highchairs in the dining area. The... more

We just returned from a three night stay at the plantation. We really enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable, modern and spacious and a great view from the deck. we were lucky not to have any neighbors in adjoining rooms so it felt very private. Pool and jacuzzi wonderful and we met some very nice travelers (They all seemed... more

The view from the property was unbelievable. The balconies overlook the river and the marsh. We watched kayakers go out from the property. The breakfast was great. The people who worked there were very nice and pleasant. We were looking for a quiet getaway and we loved it. The pool overlooks the property.I would highly recommend this. more

Overall, you can't beat the price at this Ogunquit hotel. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, continental breakfast was nice, and it was suitable for our needs. However, the Rachel Carson Wildlife Refuge entrance is a ways away, and the distance to downtown (Marginal Way, etc.) is pretty far. There are more luxurious places to stay in Ogunquit... more

Just came back from two nights at the Plantation and disliked the place immensely. Don't go here if you have any difficulty walking up steep hills. The rooms are like caves with only one way in - the sliding glass door. This door is the only source of light and fresh air. But you have to keep the door drapes... more

We spent 3 nights at the Ogunquit Plantation in July 05. We got the AAA rate of $129/night which is not a bad rate considering most other hotels in Ogunquit are around $190+. We had 2 queen size bed room with a window facing the Ogunquit River. The room is pretty much standard fare w/ tv, a/c, small fridge and... more

We stayed here for the weekend in the first week of August, 04. Our room is facing the water, very clean and quiet. The room has two queen beds and a mini kitchen. We are very please to stay here. The kids enjoyed the pool/jacuzzi. The hotel is about 2 miles from the beach and it is closed to town.... more

Stayed here for 4th of July weekend. Very overhyped by the brochures &website. Also very overpriced for the type of accomodations I got. Pluses: The grounds are well-kept & the exterior of the buildings is interestingly modern & Frank-LLoyd Wrightish .The frontdesk young woman was pleasant &cordial. They offered a complimentary continental breakfast which I never tried but the area... more

We stayed here in May 2001 for one night and found the room to be extremely comfortable, the amenities good and the view from our room was very pleasant. As hotels in this price range go we found it very acceptable and would not hesitate to stay there again - in fact if we can rustle up enough money we... more
