Visit after visit, the Hartwell House does not disappoint. We just got home from a 2 night stay, and can't wait to return again during the fall season. The Innkeepers, Charlene and Eric, provide the warmth of a home away from home. The inn itself is comfortably elegant, clean and well maintained throughout. The breakfasts, as usual, were creative, eye... More

Great location! We were very pleased with the Hartwell House. Charlene and Eric were the best hosts. Breakfast was delicious. We stayed in the Martin Van Buren room on the first floor. The only suggestion I have is to bring your own pillows. I usually bring mine but forgot them on this trip. If we go back to Ogunquit we... More

I absolutely love the location for an enjoyable short walk to the restaurants and local shops as well as proximity... More

The Hartwell House is well worth it's price. It is a splurge for most of us but you get what you pay for. The staff is excellent, it is obvious from the moment you get there that their goal is to make your experience the best possible. The rooms are unique, romantic and very well maintained. It is situated with... More

I have stayed a lot of hotels, inns, etc and this was the most purely positive experience I have ever had. Not a single negative note to share. The room was CLEAN. We had the Polly Reed with the huge tub and it was awesome--squeaky clean which really matters to me. Sometimes with big tubs, the water is cold by... More

Spent a wonderful weekend with friends and couldn't have been happier with the location, accommodations and service. Beautifully decorated inn and very clean and well maintained - plus beautiful lawn/gardens out back. So nice and quiet even though Inn is on main street. We could walk to Perkins Cove and entrance to Marginal Way and the trolley stop was right... More

We stayed here just 1 night, but wish we could have extended our visit! Our room was tastefully decorated and clean. The whole inn had a very charming feel and Charlene was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious! We will be coming back again when we are in Ogunquit!
