Millions have been spent and a wonderful Inn full of beautiful colors and a relaxing atmosphere has been recreated and updated. Very convenient location though there is no direct beach access. A short walk takes you to shopping and many restaurants. There is only one very small elevator for guest use. One of the safety concerns is that during our... More

The Colonial Inn offers the best of both worlds: a close walk to Ogunquit's fabulous beach as well as nearby shops and restaurants. We stayed here during the busy, bustling summer season, but we're looking forward to visiting during the off-peak months when we can enjoy the ocean view and inviting patio and lobby to just chill out and read.... Dear Jessica C, Thank you for your lovely review of our Inn and for visiting us in our off-season. We are so glad that you enjoyed the amenities we have to offer-including our “comfy” beds! They are certainly a favorite feature among our guests. We are thankful for all of the kind words you had for our staff and Inn.... More

Great place, excellent service but a little pricey. The weather was nice so we add breakfast on the patio. Cookies are offered in the main lobby. Parking is not a problem. Would go again! They helped us for tickets for Ogunquit Playhouse.

We were very pleased with the relaxing appearance and layout of the Colonial Inn. The porch and reception area were very well appointed and tastefully decorated. We very much enjoyed the spiced tea and water stand in reception area. The room was nicely decorated. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was adequate although the actual breakfast room is tight and unappealing, however,... More

The Colonial turned out to be our port in the storm. Having decided to leave another hotel in Wells and forfeit two night's payment we ended up here and couldn't have been happier! Booked ourselves a 2 night stay in the East Building which has been updated...comfy queen sized beds, new bathroom, new ac unit, flat screen tv on the... More

we just spent one night here on our way to Newark airport, but the hotel staff were most helpful. I needed to swim but the hotel pool was closed so a member of staff found a hotel nearby and asked if I could use it, I was most appreciative of this. Nothing was too much trouble. Ogunquit is a really... More

The staff was great the room was big and clean. We were right down the street from the Marginal Way and shopping. We loved our stay at the inn. They offered a basic breakfast, hard boiled eggs, cereal, yogurt etc which was OK. Our experience overall was great along with location and value we would go back again

Have stayed in many places in Ogunquit and Wells for more than 30 years. We booked The Colonial Inn in mid October for its location, but were happy to find a classic beauty with an updated look and beautiful decor. Welcoming staff and a free continental breakfast were a bonus. Can't wait to return.

The Colonial Inn was wonderful. We had a great room in the original building, very large, beautifully decorated with a nicely updated bathroom. The common areas were very charming. They had a small bar that served beer, wine and basic cocktails, very nice touch. The included breakfast was well done as well. Everyone was very nice.

Stayed at The Colonial Inn on 10/17/14. Our room was on the second floor in the main building. My husband did notice a paint or new carpet smell but it did not bother me.
