Arriving on October 1st without a reservation, we received a low-key but genuine welcome from Geoff, the owner. We had an upper-level room with an excellent view from the bedroom bay window and balcony on the Perkins Cove marina and it's small fleet of fishing boats. The sunset and sunrise views were beautiful. The room was very comfortable and the... more

Ideal location, and this advantage is appreciated in most guest reviews; the room was spacious, clean and agreable. Geoff, the owner was taking a personal efficient care and seems anxious to keep his premisses at a high standard with a very strict attitude toward non-smoking in the rooms, which is excellent! (I read a review of a guest who was... more

I started coming to riverside motel in 1997 with my husband and enjoyed our stay immensely. It is the most beautiful spot on the coast, the housekeeping is outstanding. The last three years i have been returning on my own due to the passing of my husband. I feel that this motel is so peaceful and it brings back memories of... more

Priceless location, a short walk over the foot-bridge to Prekin's Cove. Perfect for senoirs; no stairs, large rooms and a very short walk to all the restaurants, shops and lobster boats to fill the whole day and night. more

Had a wonderful stay. The location is matched by none in Ogunquit. Right in Perkins Cove, the only motel in the cove. The new owner was truly a pleasure! Kind, thoughtful, and very willing to please his quests. In fact, our television was not working properly, and within 15 minutes, he took the TV out of his office and replaced... more

The Riverside sits on a hill overlooking quaint Perkin's Cove. Yes, the rooms are small, but so are cabins on a ship ... these rooms are larger! Our room had a queen bed and was on the lower level with the beautiful lawn and water directly in front. Bathroom is small, but sufficient and CLEAN ... seriously important! A continental... more

Location sells this motel as it overlooks Perkins Cove however, the rooms are too small. It was very clean but the faucet was leaking, the air conditioner frame kept dropping from the wall, and it is not at all handicapped accessible. Maintenance and upgrades seem to be a thing of the past. The nicest thing I can say about the... more

Having nothing to do with the motel, staying in Perkins Cove is a pain in the neck, because it’s at the far end of the trolley run, and in order to get around town and the beach, using the trolley is a necessity especially if you’re carrying things. So for a family of 3 that means $9 roundtrip which starts... more

The Riverside Motel is a wonderful destination for adult travelers visiting the Southern Maine coastline. The property is very well-tended and serene and the staff is friendly and responsive to the needs of guests. Each room provides a scenic view and you are located within a short walking distance to Perkins Cove shops and restaurants. We found the property quiet... more

We've been coming to the York, Ogunquit area for 6 years and have always noticed the Riverside from the Perkins Cove side and wondered what type of place it was. Last year we walked through the grounds and thought it seemed like a nice place to stay. The booking process was easy and we paid $199.00 per night for a... more
