I just returned from a stay at the Rockmere Lodge in Ogunquit and had the most wonderful weekend. The rooms were each uniquely charming and most have beautiful ocean views. Rockmere was just a short ocean-side walk along the Marginal Way from the main strip of Shore Rd, the beach and Perkins Cove. The innkeepers (Bob, Doug and Andy) were... more

We only have accolades , for the proprietors, the scenery, the location, and the venue. We were welcomed warmly, and I must admit, the very FEW negative comments gave me concern. Those concerns vanished within minutes. The stately home is decorated with eclectic touches throughout . Our beautiful room had views of the ocean , a window seat, gorgeous scenes... more

The hosts Andy and Doug were warm ,gracious, personable and delightful. The Inn was quaint and our private room and entrance had a direct view of the ocean. The Inn was conventiently located near Perkins Cove and the middle of town. The room was cleaned and made up daily. The breakfast presentation was more than expected. The food was outstanding. The hosts were always... more

You missed it, TripAdvisor, the abnormally high number of over-the-top reviews which buried 12 horror stories deep in the list. We were excited to be staying at what we thought was the best B&B in Ogunquit, and the owner said we had the best room. We arrived at the Rockmere and circled it twice, seeing no lights, vehicles or obvious... more

Again nothing but hurtful untruth trying to tarnish our Inn and us. Too bad we have to defend ourself from time to time. Been doing it for eighteen years and have met some of the BEST GUESTS over that period . Lets all try to find good and love one another . Peace

My wife and I usually go to Rockmere every year as our anual pilgramage to the sea. Despite the fact that the weather was not very nice, we still enjoyed ourselves and enjoyed the company of Andy and Doug....especially Doug's great breakfasts! What can we say, the lodge is quiey and charming. more

Arrived at B&B to a very welcoming climate. The gardens and location on the Marginal Way in Maine are spectacular. Breakfast served daily was exceptional with a lot of personal touches in the presentation of meal. Innkeeper even provided some secrets to the recipes. The main feature is Location Location Location! more

Our first stay at Rockmere Lodge was a journey we will not soon forget and one we hope to repeat before too long. The first thing we noticed were the grounds, a haven for birds and weary souls alike. It was not unusual to listen to the peeps of newly hatched birds nesting in the houseplants on the porch! Flowers... more

This was our second stay at the Rockmere and it was just as enjoyable as the first. Andy and Doug welcome you as friends, not just guests, which gives the Rockmere a feel of staying at a friend's cottage for the weekend. The chats and interaction with Andy, Doug and with other guests at breakfast is a perfect way to... more

I don't think we've ever experienced such a perfect combination -- ideal and beautiful location, all the amenities we needed, incredible breakfasts, great advice on local attractions, engaging & entertaining hosts (and that's really an understatement), easy and relaxed. We felt as though we were visiting friends -- but without the obligations! This was such a comfortable place to be... more
