My family and I stayed at the Inn in August 2013. We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The home and setting is lovely for high-energy children and we have two ages 10 and 7. They could run around outside on the property in search of the 3-legged cat. The rooms are spacious and clean and extremely reasonably priced. We booked... More

Harbourside Inn is an awesome Bed and Breakfast, with a great atmosphere, and is very romantic. Its great if you want to relax, and the breakfast was really nice with muffins and fruits in the morning. It was located really near one of the Acadia Park entrances, although a not so close to Bar Harbor, which was the go-to destination... More

Our family of five stayed in Suite 1 and room 4 on the first floor. Our rooms connected via a small back porch. The rooms are large and clean and cheerful. The furniture is a tad rickety and worn. The kitchenette looks to be circa 1960, and we bought a fridge full of breakfast items only to find out in... More

The inn has such a great atmosphere hidden in the hills above the town. It is so quiet and peaceful with such warm and friendly innkeepers. The breakfasts with fresh fruit and organic blueberry muffins were fantastic with coffee and tea available all day long. The rooms were simple but very comfortable and the beds were firm and I sleep... More

Harbourside Inn is so peaceful and relaxing I wish we had booked more than 6 nights. Breakfast of fresh fruit and homemade, organic blueberry muffins that are not too sweet so you really can taste the delicious Maine blueberries were a nice treat, in addition to the always available coffee or tea in a flavor of our choice. Quiet Northeast... More

This Inn was extreme charm from the moment we walked in. Quiet and peaceful, well decorated parlor and entry. Double staircase up to our 3rd floor King bedroom. Totally unplugged and at peace here I could not have asked for more!

We stayed in Suite #7. It was great to have the kitchenette (note: no microwave). We were able to spread out in the 3 rooms. It was hot when we were there, but cooled off at night and we had plenty of fans. It was so nice to be away from the crowds!

For our first excursion into Maine, we discovered an absolutely marvelous inn that ended up being an experience never to be forgotten. Harbourside Inn in Northeast Harbor is a charming step into a time period not easily found in today's hustle and bustle. With beautifully appointed rooms in a very peaceful wooded setting and very gracious hosts who provide attention... More

My husband and I have vacationed in Maine every year for 30 years and we always stay at the Harbourside Inn, run by the Sweet family in Northeast Harbor. We are drawn there by the beauty of Acadia National Park, the Harbourside's peace and quiet, and the Sweet family's warm hospitality. The Inn is gorgeous and conveniently located -- a... More

When we got our of our rental car at the wooded entrance to the Harbourside Inn, the only sound we heard other than the birds was a person playing a flute. Playing very well, actually. As it turned out, the flautist was no amateur, being a 30 veteran of the New York Philharmonic! For the five days we spent at... More
