We had junior suite four nights. First, breakfasts in restaurant included with suite fabulous. Young people in restaurant make you at home & helpful with suites. Had refrigerator and coffee maker and TV in each of two rooms. Parking in back. Junior suite small but fine for couple. Northeast Harbor a quaint small town gem away from tourist crowds in... More

Definitely book this place! It is very clean and everything inside seemed new. The photos don't do it justice. Since we have a new baby, we truly appreciated having a separate bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and living room. It gave us space to hang out while baby slept. The coin laundry in the hallway was appreciated as well. I did not... More

This was a diamond in the rough! Just like home. In a quiet, neat little town. The suite was very clean and had everything we could have needed. The breakfast, complimentary to suite guests, was a highlight for our family. Toast from homemade bread, yum. The kids enjoyed picking out donuts every morning to take for an afternoon snack. Just... This is not a hotel, but a nice B&B above a bakery/restaurant. If you expect the amenities of a hotel, you should not stay here as you would not be happy. If you are looking for a B&B, it will meet all your expectations. However, we thought a little bit more communication from the reception (the bakery staff) will be... More

We just got here and I was shocked. My wife made reservations and I was in the dark. (So was she). In fact, this wonderful place was not even listed! Why? Who knows? It's great. It is a suite in the in the same building as Colonel's Bakery, which is a store, downstairs. Let me tell you. The blueberry doughnut?... More

We stayed at the Colonel's Suites for three nights during a recent trip to Maine, and we were more than happy. The area, Northeast Harbor, is very small and laid back. If you're looking for lots of things to do, this isn't the place for it. BUT, Bar Harbor is only a short drive away (maybe 15 minutes). It is... More

We chose this location mainly for the reasonable cost. It's not in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor but we like being able to dial it back after a day of hiking, shopping or whatever. The rooms are very well appointed and tastefully decorated. It is very clean and that is maintained during your stay. During... More

When you first arrive the address is for the bakery/hotel, we arrived after hours and new (having read some reviews already) to drive around the block to the back of the hotel. Once there I made a phone call and was told what I needed to do... Go upstairs to room 3 and my key will be there with a... More

This is a small bed & breakfast with a restaurant on the first floor and rooms on the second floor. We stayed there in October, 2012. Our suite was clean, spacious and very comfortable. It looks new too. While it has the charm of a B&B, it does not have the muskiness of grandma's old quilt. It was the perfect... More

We loved the small town of Northeast Harbor and were happy to stay in this family owned bakery-restaurant and rooms above the bakery on the Main Street of Northeast Harbor. You feel you are part of the community and can walk easily up and down Main Street and to the Harbor. I loved the convenience of being in town. We... More
