One of few places open "after the season", and was very pleased! Nice living area with couch, TV, minifridge, microwave, sink, dishes, silverware & Keurig. Bathroom was nice sized. TV in bedroom, bed extremely comfortable. coin operated washer/dryer on premise. Very close to Acadia & 10 miles from Bar Harbor. Quaint little town without the hustle/bustle of Bar Harbor. There... We stayed here for 2nights in early Oct. 2015. I gave it an average rating, but it almost qualifies for the next rating 'very good', Here are the reasons for the average rating- #1: Unreliable WiFi - this was a problem both evenings and really affected making plans for the next day while vacationing. It seemed to go out about... More

We loved this place!! We had a few moments of concern when we arrived at the address and saw just a bakery and restaurant. We got out of the car and saw a sign on the side door that said register in the bakery. We did so and walked upstairs to a beautiful suite, complete with kitchenette, living room, large... More

The Colonels was on a quiet street in Northeast Harbor over a bakery. The suite was good sized, clean and comfortable. The only negative was the "free wifi" for the front suite was weak....(we had to walk out into the hallway to connect. A good extender would fix that issue.) The bakery right downstairs is an additional draw. We really... More

Pretty easy to find just look for the bakery. This is an unusual set up for sure. But that is one of the reasons we choose it for a one night stay (we love a good adventure) . That and the fact it was only 20 minutes from the marina where we needed to pick up our boat ride to... More

We had junior suite four nights. First, breakfasts in restaurant included with suite fabulous. Young people in restaurant make you at home & helpful with suites. Had refrigerator and coffee maker and TV in each of two rooms. Parking in back. Junior suite small but fine for couple. Northeast Harbor a quaint small town gem away from tourist crowds in... More

Definitely book this place! It is very clean and everything inside seemed new. The photos don't do it justice. Since we have a new baby, we truly appreciated having a separate bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and living room. It gave us space to hang out while baby slept. The coin laundry in the hallway was appreciated as well. I did not... More

This was a diamond in the rough! Just like home. In a quiet, neat little town. The suite was very clean and had everything we could have needed. The breakfast, complimentary to suite guests, was a highlight for our family. Toast from homemade bread, yum. The kids enjoyed picking out donuts every morning to take for an afternoon snack. Just... This is not a hotel, but a nice B&B above a bakery/restaurant. If you expect the amenities of a hotel, you should not stay here as you would not be happy. If you are looking for a B&B, it will meet all your expectations. However, we thought a little bit more communication from the reception (the bakery staff) will be... More

We just got here and I was shocked. My wife made reservations and I was in the dark. (So was she). In fact, this wonderful place was not even listed! Why? Who knows? It's great. It is a suite in the in the same building as Colonel's Bakery, which is a store, downstairs. Let me tell you. The blueberry doughnut?... More
