A group of 9 good friends selected Mill Pond Inn for our annual short vacation together. We needed five rooms, the Inn has five, and we took over the whole Inn for five nights near the end of August. We happened to have nearly perfect weather, the Inn is in a beautiful spot and the host and hostess (Bobby and... More

This is a gem. Beautiful setting, beautiful old (and surprisingly big!) house, owners who care. I agree 100 percent with comments by Becky S, SouthDakotaGirl and msburd. This is hidden away but also near good restaurants and other activities. The bookstore/cafe in Damariscotta is also fantastic with a surprisely full array of books. clearly the folks in this area love... More

We've stayed here several times and it's been wonderful every time. The rooms are very comfortable, quiet, pleasant in every way. Good , substantial breakfast. Sherry and Bobby are incredibly welcoming and helpful about anything we ask for, or any information we need. The setting is just about perfect. Swimming right off the dock in the front yard. A canoe... More

This was my first stay in a B&B. I was looking forward to the historic building and the lake setting of this property and it didn't let me down. The hospitality is 5 star. The ambiance is peaceful and relaxing. The location is perfect - minutes from quaint villages, shops, Moody's Diner, and the Pemaquid Light. I will definitely be... More

I knew the moment I was greeted with a big smile at the door by co-owner Sherry that this was going to be a fun stay. Very casual, low key, homey, familiar and inviting. Loads of interesting curiosities like books, musical instruments, an old pickup truck, jazz on the radio and a Lyman Lapstrake runabout tied up to the dock... More

By all accounts, do not miss this! As a repeat visitor, once again, I enjoyed my stay. As you might expect, Sherry & Bobby treat you like family & welcome you into their Inn . The Inn is very relaxing & positioned in a most idyllic setting offering warm & cozy rooms. The music is awesome which always compliments an... More

I had heard about the Mill Pond Inn from a family member, who had been twice previously and raved about their experience both times. What an absolute treat to experience firsthand the beauty of the location and the charm of the hosts. A peaceful, idyllic setting on the pond that is perfect for reading a book in the sun. The... I'm not particularly a fan of B&Bs but this one stands out head and shoulders above others I have stayed in. The owners were so warm and welcoming but without pushing themselves or their ideas. I felt comfortable, welcomed and not put upon. They had great recommendations for activities, and a beautiful set up. Exquisite pond, beautiful garden, easy access... More

We stayed at the Mill Pond Inn for a holiday weekend, at a friend's recommendation. Bobby and Sherry are remarkable hosts, with rare warmth and charm. We enjoyed dining in Damariscotta, touring the area, catching the Round Pond Independence Day parade (indescribable), and bird watching with cocktails from the dock. Our second-floor room looked out onto the lake; it was... More

Stayed at this B&B for a wedding. One of the owners was a bartender at the wedding, & the majority of the wedding party was staying at the Inn. Owners called the police on the wedding party for talking passed midnight on the night of the wedding. Would NOT recommend for anyone wanting to stay up and conversate passed 11pm.... More
