Having stayed recently (December) at the Mill Pond Inn on business, I was pleasantly surprised by the delightful innkeepers, Sherry & Bobby, and the amazing scenery there. The rooms were beautifully decorated and comfortable, and the common rooms had fireplaces, TV in one room (for those who want it), Wi-Fi (necessary if you are still working), and lovely paintings. The... More

We (family with 2 boys 9 & 12 years old) stopped at Bobby & Sherry's place on our way north to Acadia National Park. The place is so nice, and B&S are such sweet hosts that we stayed few nights. Swimming in the pond, using Bobby's canoes, and even having dinner with B&S at their favourite lobster & sea food... More

This was our second stay at the Mill Pond Inn,having stayed there 20 years ago ! This is a not to be missed stop when visiting the Damariscotta region. The Inn is beautiful,we were given the Eagles Nest suite on the top floor, spacious, comfortable, with exquisite views of Mill Pond. We enjoyed sunset cocktails on the lawn complete with a... More

Now this is a B&B! Located in an idyllic setting, on a gorgeous pond, with beautiful grounds, this inn is so lovingly maintained. The inn itself is immaculate. The rooms are picture perfect, with wonderful furnishings and comfortable beds. Our room happened to have a fireplace in it, and the bed linens are top notch. Sherry and Bobby are the... More

We spent a very enjoyable 5 days at the Mill Pond Inn for an end of the season visit to Damariscotta, Maine. Damariscotta is a wonderful town to visit. There are excellent restaurants and boutique shops and Reny's is a unique Maine attraction for dry goods. The Mill Pond Inn is less than 5 minutes from downtown by car. The... More

Our first stay at the Mill Pond Inn was during the first year or so that Bobby & Sherry owned the Inn - June, 1987, on our honeymoon trip staying at little Inns up the coast of New England. We stayed at some nice places...some beautiful accommodations...but when we reached the Mill Pond, we knew we'd found the perfect, romantic... More

Sherry and Bobby know exactly how to make you feel at home. We had a 2 night stay and their hospitality made it a great visit. We were treated like guests in their home. Breakfasts were over the top. Our suite was roomy and comfortable- the bed was so comfy. The setting was gorgeous and peaceful. It was great to... More

I was quite disturbed reading one of the reviews when the writer complained about the age of the building. It is a very old, wonderfully preserved building with the original wood work and floors. Some people are just unable to appreciate the charm and value of antic structures. The Inn is a charming, beautiful place run by two equally charming... More

My husband and I spent two nights at the Mill Pond Inn along with another couple -- all arranged to coincide with the annual running of the alewife up the Damariscotta Mills Fish Ladder, which occurs each May. The alewife are fish that return upriver to their birthplace to spawn, and the local community has restored a beautifully artistic fish... More

We have been staying with Bobby and Sherry every summer for almost 20 years. We ADORE them, their hospitality, their home, and the area. My blood pressure goes down several notches as soon as we cross the threshold! If you want large walk-in showers, a jacuzzi, room service, and full-serve menus, B&Bs are not for you, you might want to... More
