My wife and I spent 4 nights at this charming, well located, quiet b & b. Shannon and Al were delightful hosts who went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. The breakfasts were terrific. Bob P. Denver

I stayed at Chandler House last August for my brother's wedding and honestly couldn't complain. The B&B is set in the most amazing location, if it's relaxation with no disturbances you're after then this is the place for you. A wonderful big old house decorated in a style that suits it, I was given a room to myself with a... More

A very wonderful, warm, welcoming place - the owners are very friendly, though that doesn't seem to do justice to the great welcome we had. Very interesting place, with a lot of interesting knickknacks and cool, hidden, things, if you look. Interesting and wide ranging library.

The Chandler House is a lovely B&B and the owners were amazing hosts. The building itself has an interesting history (which the owner is happy to share!) and has a lot of character. The room was very spacious, quiet, clean and very comfortable. We stayed in a room without a private bathroom but it wasn't an issue because it wasn't... More

We love this area and were so pleased to find the Chandler House B & B. New Gloucester Village is the quintessential New England( Maine) village with so many beautifully-restored homes. Our room had wonderful feather bed topping and we slept soundly. The breakfasts were superb and we also ate just down the street at the New Gloucester Village Store. We... More

We booked this B & B as we wanted to visit the nearby Shaker Village. Our stay didn't start well. We had no sat-nav in our hire car, my phone's internet wasn't working and we were quite lost. I rang the B & B to get directions but I got an answering machine message. We finally navigated our way to... More

Originally, I had booked this inn, because it was close to where my son was getting married. As it turns out, I did not need this room and had other relatives take it instead. From the website, it looked to be an ideal place to stay, in a separate guest house. Although I did not stay there myself, I was... More

My brother and new sister in law choose to have their wedding at the Chandler House just last week (September 2013) and though the area and barn, and inn are all BEAUTIFUL! the owner was horrible! He was rude, dressed in a dirty, stained shirt, and told guests to park in the field in most terrible attitude. He was rude... More

We chose the Chandler House because it was near relatives we were visiting. It was a very good choice. The Inn is beautiful. The room (we stayed in room #2) was clean and neat with a large updated bathroom. The hosts, Al and Shannon, were like family. We'll be back.

We've been going to the Chandler House for several years now as part of an annual vacation to attend a reunion. Staying there for a week in the summer has become a much looked forward to part of our tradition. Truly a peaceful, lovely, restful, beautiful place, reflective of the owners personalities completely. Proximity to nearby hiking and activities, LLBean... More
